I'm bursting!

I'm getting published in print for the first time! Ok - it's only a little Canadian magazine but I've seen the works in previous editions and I'm thrilled to stand beside them.

Looks like congratulations are in order....good for you :)

Congrats Tess! :rose:

Where can non-Canadian types view your poem once it's in print?

Well done!

Congratulations because if theres one poet here who deserves to be published its you! :D

I heard about this from darkmaas yesterday. I am thrilled for you achieving this well-deserved honor. May this be the first of many such acceptances, PoeTess.

:D :D :D :D

That's Great Tess
I'm very happy for you
and may I say...it's long overdue
Congratulations

Well done Tess...may I add my congratulations to those of all the others!

I'm very happy for you!:D

:rose:

Inquiring minds want to know:
what poem?
what journal?
and as neo says, where can we get it?

oh and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

:cattail: :cathappy: :cattail: :catroar:

a five cat salute!

Thank you so much, everyone. I'm a bit flabbergasted.

I'm not sure which of three submitted poems was picked. One just gets a form e-mail letting you know a poem was chosen for publication. The theme was "Ice".

Neo and anna - you'll have to come up here to Chapters or one of our excellent bookstores - or subscribe..

*Continues happy dance*

:D

A well deserved honor (honour?), Tess! I assume you are in the "Lust" supplement?

Congratulations :rose:

Hi Tess! Just got home and saw this. I like it when any of us have good news like this, especially good and sweet poets like you. Big kiss!

Cool

Congrats. If you are happy I am happy for you. Just spell
my name right when you list those you knew in the day.

Way to GO!

That is great news tristesse! Congratulations! :rose:

I guess good things are starting to happen for Lit. poets. :)

A Lit. poet of the past, Xtaabay, just had two poems (that first had been seen here) published in an Anthropology Journal, and they were good enough to get her an honorable mention in their contest for "Poet of the Year". :rose:

If "good things come in threes", who is going to be the third? ;)

Wow... Congratulations. I am happy, but also surprised that you have not been published before. Get your stuff out there and this will be just the first of many.

jim : )

** gigantic hugs!!*** congrats, Tess, may this be only the first of many, many of your works chosen!! :rose:

Congratulations!

Congratulations! I'll bet you'll be in a swoon for weeks... months...

One doesn't get into print easily. It's a real honor.

Of course, I think it's an honor to be published *here*, too! :)

Thank you all so much! I'm waiting for my copy to arrive - it should be here sometime this month but you know what snail mail's like. :D

We have a Lit presence in Quills with *Catbabe* - now me. It has strengthened my poetic self-confidence so I am going to submit elsewhere too.

Who'da thunk it?

:)

Can you tell us what month it is in so we can order the issue? I know you can get back issues of the journal. Cat-- what issue was yours in?

Tess, are you telling me you are in Canada? I though you were in the UK? Did you move? Did Canada annex England?

hmmm

curious
