I adore Tim but am not totally thrilled with the format of The Revolution. And I thought that the story was that his past love had died; this is worse. Yet I can see why he's content since he can view all kinds of 'art' and self pleasure. To me 'celibate' means no sexual activity at all. Doubt he discusses that.

Between ages 0 and maybe 14 or so, I either had no interest or thought it was impossible. From 14 to 18 I tried a lot and failed.

It was a combination of things. I got hurt badly once and mentally just wasn't into sleeping around at the time so I shut down sexually.

i'm picky. i have a type. and my type has to have a certain profile, as in her face. i'm hooked on face profiles. i guess a lot of women don't fit my criteria, and i'm not big on casual sex.

I suck at relationships, and casual sex just isn't for me.

Yep, that's pretty much it here, too, but I don't know if I actually suck at relationships because I haven't had one for about a decade. What I do suck at, apparently, is meeting men I want to have a relationship with.

I'm with you on casual sex.; it's just not my thing, either. But every few years my hormones get the better of me and a fling occurs. While in my thirties I've had two FWBs (one between 15-20 times, the other six or seven times) and two one-nighters. So I guess that puts my average at about 2-3 per year for the decade.

I turn 39 in June, and am seriously considering breaking the rules again so I can have a few more experiences before the big four-oh. A girl's thirties are supposed to be her sexual peak.

To that end, I actually went out on a date Saturday night. No sex, but there was some very nice kissing.
