I just caught the tail end of this on a radio news broadcast on my way to work yesterday.
There is a new program that is being worked on that will replay all the keystrokes of your keyboard at the end of the day.
It may also be a new keyboard I am not sure as I had missed the beginning of the news.
It was originally designed so that parents could check on what their children were typing in chat rooms etc.
The person that they were interviewing said it would also be good for employers and suspicious spouses.

Has anyone else heard about this?

Oh yeah...was this the newsflash that came out right after the bit about that new holiday on March 20th?

LOL

Too funny Alexandraaah.
I do one joke and no one takes me serious anymore. :)

Joke? Well, fuck it, I'm going to return the porterhouse I got you and I'm putting my false teeth back in.

LMAO

That is freaking hilarious.
Despite the visual of you taking your teeth out etc. I am on my way over.

Wow

What a sheltered life I have led.
Sigh so much to learn so little time.
Thanks Freakygurl.

That's really not new. You can find em on the web. I had a friend who used one when he was suspicious of his wife. What it did, was log all the keystrokes, and when the log got to a certain size, it emailed it to him. He also had a program that took screen shots every 30 seconds, and again, emailed themselves to him to check. he found out very quickly the things she was up to on the net.

Okay if that is out there, there has to be something that can block it,or at least let you know its on the computer, right?

I mean I dig deep into the bowels of this computer regularly, certainly if something like that was on here,I'd find it,right?

are you saying I spend to much time on the computer? Uh? is that what you meant by this?

You have been talking to my SO haven't you???

:D ;)

Actually I buy and read all the latest computer magazines. I read about these awhile ago.. and decided to do a little search on the net. Although it isn't something I need here at my house, my ex husband was looking into it for his house. (my kids live with him and my son is 15.. and well.. you get the idea ;) right?)

more than likely it's a password protected program. You would need the password to turn it off. Or figure out if you can uninstall it.. again.. probably password protected.

At home you could get away with that.. at work.. you couldn't. If your boss has it on your computer you would more than likely be fired if you attempted to turn it off.

I did some more reading on this and found this about the first program I posted up there...

10. But, if I tell them, I'm afraid they will try to circumvent the software.

That is why Spector Pro has a super Stealth feature.

When installed in Stealth mode, Spector Pro does not show up as an icon, does not appear in the Windows system tray, does not appear in Windows Programs, does not show up in the Windows task list, cannot be uninstalled without the Spector Pro password which YOU specify, and Spector Pro does not slow down the operation of the computer it is recording.

Yup

I get the idea Freakygurl. I remember fondly my teenage years and my parents would have needed something to keep an eye on me too.
Of course when I was 15...... Well we won't go there as I think Alexander Graham Bell was working on a new invention called the telephone at the time. lol

LOL.. I remember stealing dads playboys from my brother at that age and reading them with friends. To this day I've never asked him if he ever wondered who stole them from him.

:D

yea

I grew up with those magazines easily accessible.
Ahhh I remember Miss June 1965!...what a hottie.

About 4 years ago, my husband had installed something like this on my machine, and had one of the sysads at work install it onto the machine I used there. When I found out about it, it nearly caused a divorce.

My ex had one of these programs installed on my computers for the last 4 years trying to gather evidence she could use in divorce proceedings. I became suspicious when I got broadband and installed a firewall. The firewall kept blocking an outgoing signal.
Here is the program that will find and eliminate spyware programs. It cleans your drives of junk and allows your computer to run faster also.
Better be safe than sorry.
