I haven't seen anything on the oil tanker sinking off the coast of Spain...

Now several members have expressed GREAT concern about the environment when it comes to President Bush...

I expected a lot of angst over the plight of the poor seabirds and such.

I guess it only matters at election time.

Not sinking Sin.................sunk! Broke in two and sank yesterday.

Now we wait and see if its tanks rupture.

It's in all the headlines.

I at least expected REDWAVE to step up and blame the United States for the world even needing oil.

And of course, Bush and Cheney control ALL the world's oil...

I think in that sentence sinking implied past not present tense. But I am an American and not that bright...

Nah, I re-read it, you were right!

Still, the vbloody thing is still on the ocean floor! If it's tanks burst it will create a disaster bigger than the Exxon thingy.

I've heard it would be worse twice of Exxon Valdez

Galicia isn't famous for their tourist industry, though it's a very nice piece of Spain.

As far as I know the Spanish Naval Officials just failed to react properly when the story started. They just had to pull that tanker into a safe harbour (La Coruna) to pump off that oil. They've been too chicken and tried to pull it further offshore into Portuguese waters and force Portugal to do anything with it.
They've already blamed the Gibraltar authorities for not having checked the vessel properly before.
The greek shipyard couldn't do anything against it and now they are discussing international naval law again.
IMHO under who's flag it's sailing should be responsible, like Liberia or other low cost flags. You probably know what I mean.

Muy guapa la chica !! Mira las tatas !!

Running to place my donations

it sank in 2 parts.....it did not have double hulls.. oil spilled... the coast of spain is a mess ... and the tanker still had hundreds of thousands of gallons left in it and will be leaking for years to come..... are we insane to let this happen over and over and over???????????

I heard the Bush Admin was blaming Bin Laden, thusly giving them the right to bomb Bagdad.

Did Bin Laden survive the spill?

Nope

It was just an old tanker not properly checked regularly.

We call them "soulsellers"

Blame the Greek captain, why don't you.

I hear the tanker's destination was unknow and no paper work or license existed and some such goss. What's the recent words?
