I have.........

She was a wise lady, obviously

A spinster who worked in a shoe factory. In the 50s she gave everyone slippers for Christmas presents. All were "rejects" with minor faults. Hard times but good times and she was wonderful.

Well, slippers weren't controlled, like food, were they

I have returned to the UK from a sunny week in Croatia. Start catching up on writing tomorrow.

A wise decision, I think.
One needs a little time to recover from a journey.
:)

Thankfully all went smoothly - even landed early, which is quite a feat.
Even so, it's a tiring business and the brain cells do require refreshing :)

I have decided I'm no longer going to be embarrassed that I wrote two incest stories, purely for ratings, under the name King of Fulfolk.

I have also decided that, as I no longer give a flying fuck about ratings, I am going to get back to working on my none pornographic stories.

I have just acquired a new e-reader from a Boot Fair for £10.

I am going through all my stories and producing .txt files so that I can check the editing when I'm away on holiday.

I have another e-reader with over 100,000 books on it - bought on CDs through eBay and some downloaded from Project Gutenberg, but those files need drastic pruning. I don't want hundreds of outdated text books like Windows Vista for Dummies. The search facility on that e-reader isn't good, and with that number of books I spend too long searching before I find anything worth reading.

I have my huge ebook collection backed up to a cigarette-pack-size 1TB drive that can easily be hooked to my tablet or any of my little laptops. I don't want to think about how long it would take to migrate them to the cloud over my slow, cheap (1 mb/sec) DSL link.

I have more projects ahead of me than I can comprehend, as usual. One at a time, yes...

I have a load of guilt over the personal notes I should write but keep procrastinating.

I am lethargic from the super-duper flu shot I received yesterday after my fasting-blood-test draw at the Health Fair. We did not walk around a quaint Gold Rush town afterwards -- we collapsed. Note: Never eat at Mel's Diner again; they use Velveeta on their 'omelettes'. Oy.

Remember "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream" ?? Maybe a spin-off: "I Have No Anus And I Must Fart" or generally "I Have No <whatever> And I Must <yada-yada>". Sweet inspiration...

I have a 5-string banjo staring in my face and whispering, "Play me." How can I refuse?

What IS the process they employ in 'processed cheese' ?

Re: Velveeta.
She is quite pretty. . . .

I have been thinking about an old friend, Ken who died recently. After his funeral service yesterday, I spent hours with people I hand't seen in too many years. Strange how we can enjoy a funeral. Ken would have loved it. RIP, old pal. :rose:

I have to make a list of projects for the week . . . and make sure they're within the restrictions I have so I can complete them.

I have to wake up. And I'm not even allowed decaf today. Bummer...

I have a really bad attitude and the headache that goes with it.

Or vice versa.
