I have.........

An attack of nerves.
I'm off to see the Consultant today about my throat and it's progress.
I'd appreciate some fervent crossed fingers round lunch-time, GMT.
:)

Fingers tightly crossed, thinking good thoughts for you. :)

I have decided that I should enter a competition - not that I am even slightly competitive. ;) But I still have to decide which competition. Valentine's Day perhaps? Does that give me enough time? Hmm ... I'll need to think about it. Don't want to rush these things.

Another author and I used to do mini-challenges to motivate each other. Trapped came from one of them.

Today, I have to finish making the dipped chocolates for the family Christmas gathering.

I have lost the text of a story.
Damn & Blast. It must have been when the old Hard Drive went bad.

I have not got a first class ticket, but a ticket is a ticket. I'm going to buy it one way! that's the main thing.

Hooray for John's screen and HP's health. I'll drink to those.

:)

I have a big limb down next to the porch. Wind, rain, and more wind.

There's been a little of that round here.
Perhaps I should explain. My part of the UK is probably best known for having a fairly mild climate. It's generally, for example, the last area to get real bad weather (the East coast gets the dry cold and the west gets the rain, etc.), but the very strong winds have put a few garden walls and fences down and trimmed a load of trees.

I have a very large and very old white oak tree on the northwestern end of the house that the severe drought of the last few years has damaged badly. I had to take down the giant Pine that was next to it a few years ago as it had died completely. I hate to lose this one as the acorns on it are very large and sweet. The deer love them and I love the deer. The deer feed on the acorns right outside my office window most mornings and evenings.

A few more lost limbs and I'm going to have to take it down. Firewood anyone?

Contact the Bear for the wood; he might find a use for Oak.
But would a decent trim to reduce the limb weights do any good ?
