You need to meet RamonaThompson...on the GB. This would be perfect for her! It really would...LOL!

Doris Day or Meg Ryan?
So we're casting already?
I don't know... gut hunch says to go with Doris Day. Early 1960s feelgood comedic romp?

Okay, I prefer escaping into nurses and nuns instead of facing grim political and social downers...

Idea vigil continues.

Looks like we have a sprouting story idea - somebody really should write it.

LOL...feel good comedic romp...I wish I had it in me to write it! Nurses at the Nunnery...caring for the old nuns and learning about the ways of the young ones...keep in mind there are male nurses who work there, too! Saving and laving their own little piece of the world...hee hee. The story line builds...

The "sisters" and their "special friends" among their groups smiling sweetly then donning those old black "habits" in the wee hours and teaching some nurses a few lessons? HAHAHAHAHA...dark comedy at times...or maybe TWO stories.

Well, I see some Rockwell-gone-perv paintings... the nun overseeing her nursing student, as the student performs various humanitarian services.
That's probably been done?
If Rockwell Painted Dirty Pictures?

That means a lot, thanks for checking it out.
It's amazing how much you can relieve the stresses when you choose 'off' on the voting.

Because I've read about the many problems with the voting and such, I've not submitted any of my poems formally. But I didn't realize you can turn the voting "off". I'm not interested in entering contests or anything like that so it seems this might be a good option if I understand it right.

You can turn the voting OFF?

When I first started messing around with poetry and submitted it, the first thing I did was make sure the voting was off. After several submissions I tried turning it on, but it felt real bad, so I turned it off and I've left it off. Wish I'd done the same thing with the stories. They're all pending delete now, gonna start over (again), and this time leave the voting off. Just feels better, at least to me.

Yeah...I think that's smart. Several people will do an intro paragraph asking for feedback from interested readers. That makes more sense to me...there just are too many people who vote for the wrong reasons...and the real benefit of the voting is lost!

This will be a good topic for a future installment.
It's easy to get caught in the fast lane traffic and strive for high scores, and it feels pretty good when, after months of labor, finally get that coveted H next to a piece of work. But it also possesses an addictive element, because when it disappears, there's the big soul crash, which tempts towards another. Before long, the words are written for the wrong reasons, and the joy has evaporated. I'm just speaking for myself, because the voting system seems to work and be fun for lots of people. But I get too caught up in it, too sensitive, like I slapped on a helmet with blinders like a racehorse, see only one way to go, running like crazy, but getting nowhere, forgot the real reason for writing.

Something like that... save it for the future installment. :)

Yup...I can see it. I doubt you are the only one who feels that way. I did see that there was a recent "house cleaning" and that many of the trolling vote/comments were taken away by admin. That helps, doesn't it? I am not sure how that all works though...but I assume they've become masters at sorting through most of them.
