It's official. I have written a novel as defined by the Nebula awards.

I have submitted a single 43,411 word story broken into chapters to Literotica.

A decade ago, I wrote three commercially successful non-fiction books for Pearson/Addison-Wesley. Now I have written a novel. It's not really much of a change. I already have more than 100,000 words published at Literotica. This is just my first long form single story. Hurray.

Congratulations, at least if that's what you wanted to do.

Congrats! Is this the "Another Secret of Witchcraft" story? Great ratings on it so far.

Thanks.

It is "Another Secret of Witchcraft" There is Part 9, the last part, that will be posted tonight at about 1:30AM Eastern Time USA.

There is a 4 or 5 Literotica page prequel chapter, "A Secret of Witchcraft" that is properly part of the story but best read after "Another Secret of Witchcraft". The prequel was submitted this morning and will likely post in a few days.

Thanks. It just came pouring out of me almost fully formed. I wrote it on the Beach in Hilton Head SC over the course of a week. I edited at night when the rest of my family was asleep.

The significance of Hilton Head may become apparent when you read my SUMMER LOVIN contest entry ;) I also wrote that on the beach.

And, I wrote "Gentle Touch" and "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant Ch. 01" over the same two week vacation but not so much on the beach.

While traveling, I listened to my computer read several long Literotica stories by other authors while we drove. In all, I listened to about 30 hours of smut. I was in the passenger seat with headphones on and found it difficult to sit still. My hips wanted to do interesting things of their own accord.

I really should finish the stories that I have floating around in my brain. At least I should finish "Mr. B" and maybe "Ultragirl" next.

Congratulations! I'm inspired by your pace; perhaps enough to quicken my own. That's very impressive.

That's amazing. I struggle to publish two stories a year. I'd love to publish four, but three is the best I've ever done.

You may still publish more stories than me over a period of years. It has been five years between visits from my manic muse. I noted in another thread that feeling sad after loss and disappointment seems to attract the muse to camp in my mind. I think I'd rather be content and publish nothing than sad and prolific [most days].
