I would fall into the group of people who often cannot make heads or tails of NSW's posts. Spelling and grammar are not all that important if the message is still rendered understandable.

Completely misusing words and leaving others out of sentences is not a grammatical error, its gibberish. You can type any way you like but I guess I will have to sniff some glue before reading your posts.

You may want to change your location btw, I dont think Michagan is familiar to most.

Of course the larger issue is not how you say it, but what you are saying....which seems in this case to often be damn near nothing.

Damnit all people! I'm a peacemaker, a happy calm kinda chic, and it takes a lot to get me at all angry. But now I am. I swear there are only a handful of things that can make me truly upset and this is one that I've stated over and over and over again:

Uhh.. I have perfect spelling, and pretty damn good grammar, although it needs a bit of work.. And I have to say, I've yet to see a post by NSW that didn't make sense to me. Here's a little trick for you folks who can't make it out in your heads. Try saying it out loud. People don't usually Speak in perfect grammar if you've noticed. Just say it, and usually you'll understand.

Overrated

Spelling is overrated, as long as people understand what you are trying to say that is all that is really important. Unless you are trying to write something professional, in which case their is always spellcheck. Knowing how to spell everything is a thing of the past and only important to children so they can learn the basic words. I think it is essential for kids to learn how to spell in elementry school, but once you hit a certain stage of life, it is not that important if you misspell a few words.

I do enjoy NSW's posts but only after deciphering them. Most of the time, I don't understand what she is saying. I read it outloud several times, if I still don't get it. I move on. I don't care about her spelling. She is usually close enough to the correct spelling, that I can figure out what she is talking about.

Exactly right. That's also why I could state my own feelings. But beyond democracy, freedom of speech .... there is such a thing as kindness and a better way to say things. There's no need to be mean about things.
