IDK. Most men I've experienced on Lit who were hot af in voice weren't interested in much other than getting their rocks off. As far as I know they hadn't published anything. I was a music major, and I check out some of the other profiles a lot and a bunch of them are in to music.

It made me wonder about the ear training aspect. Meaning, are we so attuned to listening closely and hearing minute details, that it’s a turn on?

For example, if I listen to an audio, I can usually tell a general region they’re from by accents. I can even break down a lot of U.K. accents by region etc.

I guess “are we trained to listen?” Made me wonder if they’re more enjoyable because of that training.

Yes it makes sense. Sometimes I'll ask a person if they are from a particular region to see if my guess on their dialect is correct. although sometimes their insulted (like - are you from Brooklyn NY).

No, I didn’t finish, but I still play flute and sing alto, so harmonizing all the time, and again being forced to listen diligently. I was playing level 4-5 solo pieces in college, so it felt like I was a professional, but no.

I wonder if it has more to do with those who produce audio recordings have the equipment, soft are and know how from producing audio. Or to put it another way maybe non musical people find the idea of audio all together overwhelming so they don’t try.

I love reading out loud and listening to audiobooks in general. I probably could get into narrating of some sort but the concept isn’t motivating enough to learn all the things.
