Still doesn't explain why my first vote is erased. A vote is a vote and it shouldn't matter who or where it comes from.I think Dark did answer your question. Evidence is that, like automatically sweeping all votes from the same ISP as the author's (no, that isn't fair to spouses), the system identifies what it considers "problem" voters for each author account--voters who vote a lot on that author's work and habitually vote either a 5 or a 1--and automatically sweeps those--every time; forever. (That's sort of hamfisted too, but I think it's what the sweep system is doing.)
At one time you could tell your vote was swept because the yellow stars went off. I think probably the website has wised up since then and they just freeze the vote (and sweep it) so that you can't come back and vote again (and make them find it in the next sweep).
No matter what the reason, if it's happening to you, it's happening. And it's the vote sweeping system, not Darkniaid that's doing it.
Feddie lies left and right on the forum--outrageously, over the top. It's probably his primary posting characteristic and probably what gives him away the quickest when he moves to a new alt (and denies the connection to him right up to and a bit beyond being outed, at which time he embraces it.). So you can put your "he never lies" where the sun don't shine, hon, because that dog don't bark.
Thanks for the link. I hadn't read that one before this. Believe it or not, it's all true, except for the description of herself is that of his girlfriend. I was never tall enough for him. Whenever we had lunch together, he would sing that little song from the Wizard of Oz about the munchkins. He got slapped more than once.http://www.literotica.com/s/who-is-the-writer-susanjillparker
As I said, nobody knows why your first vote was swept. If it was a contest story or the month it was published was being tallied for the montlies, those are notorious for deep-cutting sweeps, and there's a fair case to be made that perfectly legitimate votes get tossed out with the trolls and cheerleaders, most likely because it digs back deeper into the IP trying to catch people with dynamic IPs multi-voting.
However, your continuing to re-vote the same story multiple times is still a multi-vote, and a stated, known reason for votes being removed.
I also don't understand why or how you or anyone else can assume you know how the system works. If there is a system, or if there is program running it, it should be consistent no matter when it is running. What makes anyone think that the 1 votes are removed and why should they be. A vote is a vote. It should only be looking at an IP address, count the vote, and move on.
