so ive been trying to post a short erotic horror story about a vampire. Its been pending for 2 weeks i think. My question is are they allowed to be written in first person pov? I havent found any first person erotic horrors so is this why its not approved? Everything else is good. It meets criteria length wise and format.

Doesn't sound like there should be a problem with the context. Within two weeks you should have heard even if it was rejected (in which case a reason would be given). Sure you aren't poking any buttons on it after the initial submission? (Because that would send it back to the end of the queue.) Two weeks of it just sitting there in pending without posting is long enough to ask Laurel (the site editor) about it by PM (the private message system at the top right of this page. She's just "Laurel" in the addressing). Don't bother e-mailing. They apparently don't read those.

Two weeks is quite a long wait. If you have reopened the submission, it's just like resubmitting and puts it at the end of the line again.

A polite pm to Laurel is the best thing, if a story seems stuck in the queue.

Two weeks is a long time to be pending, unless it is an illustrated or audible story. I don't recall ever reading a vampire story written in first person, but I see nothing wrong with it. The POV could be the vampire or a vampire hunter or a victim/submissive.

Agreed. There's no reason why a vampire story couldn't be told in the first person--by a variety of characters in the story.
