Will someone please bring my wet cloths, foot rubs and a shoulder and neck massage?

Everyone keeps telling me to get off the computer and go lie down- that makes me more nauseasted. They tell me to take Excedrin- THAT doesn't work. They tell me to breathe- it isn't working either.

I need pampering, not advice.

all my sympathy, FtF :(

The only thing that works for me is a dark room and quiet and sleep if I'm lucky...

and Imitrex. Got any of that?

Dark and quiet, if lying down sets your stomach to roiling, sit in a comfortable chair ( odds are the computer chair doesn't qualify )

If you can find one of those eye pillows, get one of those and give it a shot next time ( I know that doesn't help you right now, but maybe next time ) The weight puts just the right amount of pressure over the eyes, bridge of the nose, and your forehead. It has helped my girl a lot, she gets them constantly. She has a prescription for Maxxalt ( I think that's right ) to deal with them, but you have to catch them early for it to really dull them below that intolerable level you're likely at now.

Have a special treat that you love? Chocolate? Strawberries? Cherries? Anything that will set off endorphines can help. Especially if it is something you haven't had in a while and hubby can find it for you. Send him out on a "pregnant cravings" style quest, if there are enough places open around you to make it possible he can actually find it :)

Ever try getting your feet rubbed? With my girl, sometimes it works ( unfortuantely, sometimes it just makes it worse, but you usually know that quickly enough it doesn't make it worse overall )

EDIT: Duh, silly me, you mention the last one right from the beginning.

Orudus. Orudis (sounds like that, but spelling may be something else) works for my wife. You can find it at WalMart. Lacking that try a hard blow to the head with a sledge hammer - takes your mind off the migraine.

Pampering? Just slither over here, honey, I'll pamper you like you've never been pampered before.

Colly used to swear by taking the hottest shower she could...after taking the pain meds. By the time she got out of the shower, the meds were kicking in, and she could sleep.

Me? A dark room, absolute silence and time are the only things that help.

Yes, I also remember Colly telling me to take a hot shower. Worked a few times, but I don't have the pain meds. *sighsigh* Heh.

I like dark, light tends to make me nauseated when I have a migraine, however you don't want advice, so...

*pamperpamperpamper* :D

I've just gotten out of a sauna-style shower, and the nausea, while not gone, isn't making me pray anymore. Light and noise- either way, they're always around, so I can't get rid of them. I'm trying a hydrocodone and bed now... I'm praying I won't throw it up.

*hugs* If I'm not dead, I'll thank everyone in the morning, I swear.

Ugh. I can't take any external stimulation, even touch, when I get a migraine. I get in bed, wait for the quilt to settle around me in a cocoon-like manner, and immobilize. Maybe quiet, soothing music, but even that grates sometimes.

If you can keep some sinus-type medication down, that helps. In any case, if it makes you drowsy, that's a benefit. Time seems to be the only true relief.

You guys are so sweet.

Woke up this morning with a lingering headache, but nothing as bad as last night. And oddly enough, heat makes mine worse- I threw a icepack over my head and prayed to whatever gods deal out anodyne comfort to make it stop.

It eventually stopping trying to kill me and settled to a dull roar (this morning's level) but my husband spent all night screaming at the three-year old because the baby was talking and fussing in his sleep all night.

I think the next time he wakes me up at three a.m. by SCREAMING at a child who is asleep and not paying attention to him, I'm going to lay him out with a frying pan.

*climbs into the cuddle puddle and hugs and pets and snuggles* I wuv you cwazy wabbits.
