Ever since Lit changed it's stuff, (you remember that, a while back?) some of my AVs no longer work and I've tried to make a few new ones and I can't see to make them work, either.

I used to do this kinda thing for a living so it's not like I'm all stupid but I just cannot seem to fix or refix my photos to work here anymore, as AVs. Lit says they are too big but damn it, I know they aren't too big. I can read 150 x 150 and I know what 15KB is.

I need someone to help me fix these. I would email to you if you can fix them for me.
Please.
Someone.

And somehow, I will repay you in big measure.

thank you.

But you know... in order for me to send them to you, I need your email address... LOL

Yeah, I emailed you from my email address so that you'd have it.

Looks like you have had success Miss Rose if twinkle toes AV is anything to go by . The issue was with the volume of pixels as the size was accurate. If Grace was unable to resolve them all I can assist . You have my email address.

Actually the toes AV is one that works. this one - now - is one I could not seem to get smaller without making itty-bitty.

I have no photo program on this laptop and you know, the other laptop is minus the A key and it's all bullshit there... LOL I really need to put photoshop on here.

But thanks rebecca, and I'll keep you in mind when I find another I can't get to work!

And big ol' thank you to you, Gracie!!! ;-D

Outside of photoshop or paintshoppro i use IRFANVIEW . You may want to check this one out.

It's 100% FREE (It's freeware... not shareware .. never expires... ALL functions available) and small.. quick download... user friendly. i've been using it since about early 2000.

It's great for editing images: resizing, changing file formats, adjusting contrast, sharpening etc.. It does screen captures too. Handles sound files (which i LOVE because i hate running huge memory hog programs like Windows Media... RealPlayer and WinAmp etc)

As a bonus it handles more image and sound formats than any other program i know.... great for when i get a file with an odd 'i never heard of before' format.

i LOVE that it handles BATCH CONVERSIONS: i do a lot of photography which requires that i edit as many as 100 or more images, involving resizing ALL 100 or more, and/or flipping some of them horizontally or vertically etc ect ........ i can work on 100's at a time and apply the same effect to numerous files all in one click. NEAT Time Saver!!!!!

This looks really terrific! thanks, sinn. I will check it out and from the looks of the site, I'm sure I'll download and use it.

Since I left publishing, I don't use photo programs like i used to. And I always used them on a Mac, so changing to PC was not the easiest thing anyway.. LOL

thanks again!

I'll give it a shot sometime if you need me. I did Snooze's for Him.

As for Photoshop options, I like Serif's PhotoPlus. They make several other nice freeware programs as well. The only thing I don't like is that, as of yet, they have not made a version for my Mac I usually use at work. I get a little tired of mailing stuff back and forth.

For 15 years, I did photography and photo manipulation for a living. I was in publishing. We used Macs. I like them, alot especially for publishing. I understand how to reduce and manipulate photos. I'm really not as stupid about this as I must appear. ;-)

I'm no longer in publishing and now at home using my PC. They're just not as user friendly as Macs are. And photoshop on my PC is just a little different than it was on my Mac.

But like you, I get tired of emailing back and forth. My photoshop is on another laptop. And the other laptop has a mucked up A key... I should get it fixed because I like that laptop the best of all, anyway.

The really goofy thing is that many of the AVs I've used in the past (AVs that I made for myself), now no longer work at Lit. (I had RJ reduce a few for me, ages ago.) But I found that last night, when I wanted to change to something that I KNOW worked before, wouldn't work.

So there you have it... LOL

I am going to try out the stuff that sinn posted. That looks like it might be good and has the features I like and need.

Hi Roxy

Sometimes the Lit database will not let you repost an image anywhere at all if it has been posted. Even if you rename the file. There is meta data in some file formats that enables the lit software to report that it is a repost. This maybe the problem. I have encountered this before.

love to you dear Roxanna, hope you are feeling great

H
