When I see an overweight guy with a fit or fittish woman I get triggered. It really....I don't know...bothers me, hurts me. It touches a deep wound apparently. I'd love to talk to women who are dating or married to much less attractive men than them or their respective partners. Or do you share this burden? I'd love to talk to you too. Here or privately.

When I see that I always assume the less attractive one is rich, or at least the breadwinner.

My marriage is an equal attractiveness one and that’s what I mainly see with others too.

It's interesting that you use the words "fit" and "attractive" interchangeably. It may be wise to remember that a sumo wrestler is a professional athlete. You can't really tell how fit someone is by the way their body looks.

Why are so triggered by this?
Do you feel like you don't get what you think you deserve?
What qualities do you look for in a woman?

I can't speak for all women, but I can say that people stay in relationships because of how they feel, not because of the way they look. If an attractive (to you) woman is with a guy that you think is physically beneath her, what do you think is keeping her in the relationship?

All of this

Fit is a colloquial slang for attractive in England. I assumed he is English and awake at 4am pondering this cause of a heartbreak.

Cause otherwise, he sounds like a predator.

Thanks for replying. But I'd rather talk about it one on one.

Good example. And not to mention, that for many, many people, those sumo wrestlers are extremely attractive. Whatever the OP had in mind, it seems to me that he just finds more attractive fit people than fat people, but he is childish enough to believe that everybody thinks the same way, so he is surprised and cannot understand when he sees something that is not ok with his scale. He most probably feels that the World is unfair to him too. :-D

I mean, sure, that's one way to see it.

I am genuinely curious to hear from him, though. As he mentioned, he recognizes a deep wound. I think he was trying to be vulnerable and I have the space to explore it with him 🤷 it's genuinely curious...

I get that

There's a few pitchforks today 🤣

I will say that a one:eek:ne conversation is a gift if someone extends that to you. Many of us pay good money to explore these big issues in therapy. If someone is decent enough to reach out, I'd hope you try to stay as curious and open as you can manage. And I hope you get some answers.
