Last year, we had to have SBC Ameritech for phone service, because they were the only people in the area. It took them nearly a month to give us phone service at our new place, while I was 9 months pregnant, and ready to pop at any given moment.
We were less than thrilled, and they never so much as apologized the numerous times they would tell us, yes, you'll have phone tomorrow, and yet, we inexplicedly never did.
Anyway, over the summer, AT+T and MCI both moved into the area, and we immediatly switched.
Now, we've been getting letters in the mail on numerous occasions in the past two months, asking for our service back. I ignored em, pitched em, burned em, whatever, and went on my happy little way.
In the last two weeks, however, they have gotten me on the phone 3 times, for 3 seperate GREAT (~**~) offers.
I have always just said, no thank you, we're not interested, and gotten off the phone as quickly as possible. After all, is it really the telemarketers fault that they work for a shitty company? No.
So, just now, I get a call, and she goes through her speil, and I say, No thank you, we're not interested.
So, rather than thanking me for my time, she asks how much we're paying currently, and if it's really worth the service we recieve. I believe I let my anger show a bit when I replied with:
I'm not sure how much we're paying, but what ever it is, it's more than worth it, for the customer service we get. We've been with SBC before, the service was wretched, and no one in customer service, or managment ever did anything to aleviate the problem, so we've decided we are not ever going to USE sbc again.
I didn't scream or yell, just said it matter-of-factly, and she thanked me for my time, then hung up.
I really sincerly hope that after this, I am taken from thier lists.
