I just got a voluntary lay off...two weeks with only slightly less pay...so for two weeks anyways, I love my job...:D

I don't hate my job, in fact I love it.

I do, however, despise the customers, all of them (except the ones that bring me chocolates). I'm not real big on most of my co-workers either. The commute sucks royally and the pay is a joke. Now that I think of it, my boss is a twit who can't seem to grasp I'm only paid for forty hours a week.

At least I love my job. :D

You mean you're only working one job now instead of three?

I hope it gets better. Look around for another one.

It's difficult when you don't like your job. My job is getting changed around for the worse, but I think I've finagled something else that will work out much better. A little change is sometimes good, if I hadn't been faced with a negative change, I probably wouldn't have put the extra effort to redefine and reshape the role into something better than it was before. Change is opportunity.

Emerald join the club. My asshole boss told a bunch of us that we are "lucky" to even have jobs. He rationalized this comment by saying with all of the layoffs going on, we should feel quite fortunate. I saw that MF walking to his car as I was about to drive off, and I was about two seconds away from running him down. I totally understand why people go on rampages at work sometimes.

You can come work for me! I always need new hires, I seem to fire em faster than HR can Hire em.

Geeze, you folks. I love what I do. For my 2 cents worth, may I suggest you find something you love to do, get real good at it and the money will follow. Funny, follow as it does, it never seems to run up and smack you in the butt. Oh well...

Don't do it! You have a motive, so they'll find you.

Start spilling small amounts of stuff underneath his car like motor oil, transmission fluid, see if you can make HIM go crazy trying to find a non-existant leak....or do you have security cams on his parking space?

I HATE MY JOB

I ALWAYS A JOB IS A JOB.
I OWE ,I OWE SO OFF TO WORK I GO.
I HAVE MY GOOD DAYS AT WORK.

I hate my job.

I often consider killing every motherfucking client that comes through those doors.

And half the staff too.

Fuckers.

This is gonna sound sad but I want a job. I want to work part time and get away from the house. ohh to have a job even a crappy one. lol

Find another, or start your own......

Find something that fits your personality. You might consider a minority business grant. There is plenty of sites by the gov out there to help you get started, like the SBA, and SCORE. My ex started her paperwork, which if done right, can get you a couple hundred grand to start, get a company car or truck, and hire some friends to help you get off the ground. Write your own paycheck, the American dream! :D :rose:

Funny thing is when you love your job - which I do by the way - you don't mind being underpaid so much as you would if you hated your job.

Although every so often I'm thinking if I got paid what I was worth I'd be much better off and love my job that much more.

Been there done that...hate the former ejit. Luckily now I have a very good job with a terrific boss and wonderful coworkers! No complaints at all...plus the pres buys lunch once a week...the way to win me over...feed me!

*hugs* I understand exactly what you mean.

I got to work early today, thinking I'd hole up in one of our back rooms and get some homework done before my shift (by early, I mean an hour and a half early). I got some done, and then I got paged by the girls at the front desk to get my butt down there, everything had gone all to hell. Faxes were coming in by the book (our fax machine had been storing memory for 2 days, it turns out), and our email blew up, which I had to fix, and we had a filing disaster (a drawer fell out of the cabinet), while phones rang off the hooks, on all 8 available lines. Lovely.

and I wasn't supposed to be working yet. Oh, and I'm not gonna get paid for that.

Then I took over, and I work alone on my shifts.. the phones went nuts, I had to do a bunch of spreadsheets for tomorrow (leftover work that the girls before me didn't get done), and there was this kid running around the office (his mother was meeting with one of our realtors), who kept ringing the 'help' bell. In fact, he TOOK the bell, and ran around the office with it, and I couldn't run after him, cus the phones were going insane. He was also screaming at the top of his lungs, which I had to explain to customers, was just an insane child who was bored.

Finally, I put all the lines on hold, and I walked quietly over to the child and bent down to look him in the eye. I told him he could ring the bell one more time, but if he rang it again, he'd really upset me. I guess the tone in my voice (very quiet, very measured) scared him (his mother just yelled, from what I could tell), and he gave the bell to me without a word, and stayed quiet the rest of the time he was there.

*sigh*
