If I had a daughter and she said that to me I would ask her what makes her think that.
Last week I was shopping with my gandbebe (3)
and this little girl in another shopping trolley pointed out to her mum a rather heavy lady.
"Look Mum that lady is soooo fat"
The little girl was about four.
Her mother didn't flinch, say a word or even acknowledge what her daughter had said.
The heavy set lady moved away, obviously embarrassed by the way her face went red.
My point is what are our children being taught by their role
models and society?
How you behave, what you said and do can rub off on them.
It is our responsibility as parents to ensure our kids are well rounded awith good self esteem. You must not be fat or boys won't like you?
That is so wrong for her to feel that way.
Be proud of who you are and if others judge you before they get to know you? That is their loss. An overweight person can lose weight. Now attitude adjustment? That's a bit harder.
