Very good, just took one out of the oven. Tastes very much like pumpkin, only sweeter.

STOP TORTURING ME !!!!!!!!!!

Just checked my two baking pumpkin pies- they have about 5 or 6 minutes to go but are getting nice and golden brown crusts. Too bad they have to cool for a few hours before I can sneak a piece. :)

Looks like my 7 1/2 YO grandaghter and I were about an hour ahead of you. :p

I spent the evening teaching (read ssupervising as she read the recipe and did most of the work) to make pumpkin pie. Last year, she made an Apple pie for Xmas dinner, so this year she wanted to learn how to make pumpkin pie.

We used the recipe from the can of Libby's pumpkin and Pillbury frozen pie crusts -- but the pies turned out beautifully and she's every right tobe proud of herself.

Frozen pie crust is acceptable for a 7 year old. By the time she is 10, she may want to try to make a REAL pie crust though! ;)
It isn't that hard to do, really.

Pillsbury All Ready Pie Crust

great stuff ......... I don't have the patience for making it from scratch;)

No, "real" crust isn't hard to do -- provided you have the space to roll it out properly, which I don't. This puny little one-bedroom apt doesn't have that much counterspace so I've gotten out of the habit of making crust from scratch.

Love turkey, and turkey sandwiches and turkey stew.
yummy yummy yummy!!
i can pig out forever.

gotta have pickles and stuffing and cranberries too though.
got any leftovers of them?

wanna clean out the fridge? just say, "Hey batter, want some leftovers for work? I will just have to throw it out otherwise."
get me a bag, and pile it up! LOL

Happy Thanksgiving you guys and gals!
and have a great weekend to all.

gobble gobble all you turkey heads

:p

Made an utter glutton of myself and took a nap on the couch while the rest of the family passed out in their respective chairs. Thanksgiving tradition.
