Just checked my two baking pumpkin pies- they have about 5 or 6 minutes to go but are getting nice and golden brown crusts. Too bad they have to cool for a few hours before I can sneak a piece.

my receipe comes right off the bottle of this special lime juice and if it looks tan that is right....

Looks like my 7 1/2 YO grandaghter and I were about an hour ahead of you.

I spent the evening teaching (read ssupervising as she read the recipe and did most of the work) to make pumpkin pie. Last year, she made an Apple pie for Xmas dinner, so this year she wanted to learn how to make pumpkin pie.

We used the recipe from the can of Libby's pumpkin and Pillbury frozen pie crusts -- but the pies turned out beautifully and she's every right tobe proud of herself.

No, "real" crust isn't hard to do -- provided you have the space to roll it out properly, which I don't. This puny little one-bedroom apt doesn't have that much counterspace so I've gotten out of the habit of making crust from scratch.
