And by amphetamines I mean that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book.

Good lord, why can't I put it down. What is it with this book? I stayed up all night reading it until I was forced to go to bed around noon and now I'm up again and dying to read some more!

Is there a support group for this kind of thing?

Maybe we should start one. I read it all night the night it came out, finishing it the next day.. and then I just finished reading it again right before my surgery....

Hi.. my name is Fi... and I'm addicted to Harry Potter

Can I join the club? I have all 7 books in hardcover, I've been to three of the midnight release parties, and I'm always rereading the books. In fact, I was rereading Deathly Hollows today...lol.

Okay but we have to call it "meth addiction" because I have a rep to protect! ;)

There must be a support group for this. If not we'll start one for ya Bett

I am serious!

Meth keeps you up all night, so does Harry Potter!

When you come down from a meth trip you crave the next, same with Harry Potter!

There are so many parallel things that you can't deny that meth/potter addiction is a problem. :catroar:

I've never queued up for a book launch but I did pre-order all the potter books except the first. I'm happy for it to land on my doormat as I roll out of bed.

They really are such good books. Master is anti-potter on a general principle of not following the pack but I know that if he ever picked one up he'd be as addicted as I am.

The ending is perfect Betticious.

Btw, when deathly hallows was due to be released the postal workers union in the UK was threatening strike action. A temporary truce was called specifically to ensure that all the ickle kiddies got their potter books on time.

In the UK a childrens charity called childline (where troubled kids can call up and talk to a counsellor for free) and another called samaritans (the same thing but for adults) drafted in extra people when the last Harry Potter book came out because many of them were grief stricken that there wouldn't be another one.

Thought that was a bit silly myself.

ohh fine.. to protect your precious rep.. (and cause i'm a sucker for your AV)

Hi.. I'm Fi.. and I'm a.. meth.. addict...

<snort> Dahlia.. If Betticus said he was dying, I'd have to wait for the coroner's report to believe him..

I still haven't read mine. I'm finding it hard to get into. I guess it gets better. Hope so anyway

I thought it was a bit slow in the beginning too.

I thought it started fast and never let go.

*shrugs*

That's the uhuh, uhuh, I like it!

*does a little dance*

Last night I foolishly decided that come hell or high water I was going to start and finish the book I REALLY wanted to read before it was due back at the library on Friday.

'cuse me for a while . . .

*chuckles*
