I just got PhotoShop 6

However, as happy as I am to have this wonderful new thing to play with...
I have no clue how to use it.

:(

If anyone can help, please let me know. I could use a few pointers.

( I will repost this in the How To Forum too cuz I know lots of people there have it too )

Damn- I thought you meant a sex toy- I was all ready to see a picture of it too... oh well.....

Congrats on the Photo Shop- I don't have it, so I can't help you. Have fun playing though.

Best way is to take or download some pictures, and start playing around. There's so much you can do with it, "how to use it" is entirely too big of a question to be answered in a post, or even most threads unless you know a specific thing you want to do.

I have some of THOSE too ...... I will post some pics later of them :D

Glad I wasnt the only one...

I can't help it- I'm a perv. Dirty minds think alike, Chris. :)

Silverveil- post pics of them, along with a detailed explanation of how you use them, please. That is your first Photoshop assignment. ;)

try hunting the net for Adobe's Photoshop 6 Classroom In A Book.
Try Morpheus or Kazaa for it....also, there should be a reasonable manual available under the Help section...unless some ripped it out of the package.

I prefer Photoshop 5.5 myself, its the one I trained with and am most comfortable with. Best of luck SV...

I myself just got Photoshop and Illustrator............I was a die hard Corel user but everyone tell me Photo shop is where it is....

I got it and can figure my way around, don't seam that much diffrent than Corel but I just came from Barns & Noble bookstore where I found Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator "Classroom in a book" as Draco mentioned.........$45.00 bucks.....Nice book and cd in the back..........Looks like it will be a cool book to have .
I haven't poped the cd in yet but looks good...........

Thanks for the advise Draco, I looked on Morpheus no one had it so I bought it............:)

*drools over picture*

Nice....very nice.

Oh, and the toy looks delightful too.

Load the tutorials and go through them that's what I did. It helps alot, and the Adobe on-line help is a good resource. I found Photoshop easier than Corel Photopaint. I am still on the learning curve for Adobe Illustrator 9.0 though.

I bought the book Photoshop for Idiots! It helped.

:D :p

I don't have that one but in general those books have helped me out..............Nothing wrong with them..............

Ok let me ask this.........................As a Corel person....what do folks like better? Are there anyone out there that likes on better than the other....I mean from what I have heard both have there advantages....
I am in the sign biz. I need vector files and I can send a job straight to the cutter from Corel . I can't to this in the other programs....Thats one thing I like about it.

What what do folks think? Corel draw and paint?

Photo shop? Illustrator?

anyone?;)
