I've tried posting 'sexy' pictures of myself, that flopped like an impotant man. I tried being a great guy. I've written a story. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET NOTICED HERE?

Sure I'm new, but even the other new guys get more feedback for their pictures than me.

I realise I may be an ugly human being, and if I am, SAY SO!

Please get back to me on this cause it's making me feel unwanted here.

Thanks

....
or is it because I'm a "Virgin"?

Okay, I'm noticing you now. But I don't hang out in the Amatuer Pic site, so I guess I won't see ya, unless you post a link. As for your story, can I read it tomorrow? It's kinda late here right now.

I just recently put a link to my pics in my sig line, and I've noticed that that seems to help a lot. I would suggest trying it. :)

ON Being noticed:

I don't do photos.

I don't read stories.

So, say something really incredible, then I will notice you!

:D

BTW, linking your stories and photos is a great idea. :)

FM, MissTaken has said it all in those few lines. Wit and humour are great tools here as well. You know, I get tired of having to deal with thoughts that are heavy and into alot of analysis. Sometimes when I come here, I want nothing more than to leave the "real world" behind and have a laugh or two.
If you think you're ignored here, try out the GB board. Unless one of those blokes takes an instant dislike to your style of posting, you'll not be recognized at all. [had that experience myself, MY-Sir went back at him] Might as well be a fly buzzing around their head. An annoyance, something to be swatted away.
My suggestion is to leave the whine for the cheese and crackers and jump in with both feet. Yea, you're likely to punch someone's button, but if you use some humour in your postings, you'll be OK. :D

Good luck and I look forward to either some thought provoking posts or some side splitting ones from you soon!

Is it really that important to be noticed here??

Do you really need our feedback in order to feel a sense of self worth??

Why not be a regular contributor? Contribute often and with some sense of wit, character & possibly even take a stand on an issue. Either way, you're not only doing yourself the favor but you're also being an asset to the community. Have some pride in that. Also realize, not everyone is going to post feedback. Some people just like to lurk & check out the stories or photos. That's just the nature of these boards- don't let their responses or lackk thereof determine who you are.

As far as you being a "Virgin" here, I doubt if that's the issue. No one really ntoices that so much- at least I don't. Like all the other posters here have mentioned... write something of consequence. We're mainly here for the Literature in LIT erotica.

I've been here for 1 or 2 years and people rarely notice me unless I say something important, funny or worth reading a second time. It doesn't bother me, either. There are tons of people on these boards who go unnoticed. My goal here isn't to have a high post count, to make friends with tons of people I probably won't have a chance to meet or to be popular, even though all would be nice. I'm here to share what knowledge I have on topics and to have fun once in a while.

Just put in your .02 cents here and there and people will pay attention. It may take a while, though.

Bravo Ezzie...well put!

See?? Post something of intelligence & we notice!:D :D :D

*Bowing*

Thank you, LE.

Your post was good, too. I don't think it's as important to be noticed here as it is to give out good advice and share your personal experiences with life. And, if it helps someone, that's when you get noticed.

Great sig kym. very moving. :rose:

Trust me, on two counts.. There is such a thing as being too noticed. When you have too strong a personality (like myself) you tend to butt heads with people. What you DON"T want people to notice, is exactly what you've done here. Don't be a whiney, desperate loser (sorry, no better word came to mind). Be yourself, add some wit, mix well, and you'll be noticed!

My goodness Ezzie, you've been here 2 years and have 770 posts. i've been here one month and have over 1000  glad to see one of us has a real life ;)

hmm..

I am new here, I am not too concerned with being noticed...it's just a fun place to post. I agree you shouldn't base your happiness on this place, although it is wonderful. I have posted some pretty weird stuff myself, and I think people just laugh at me, haha. just don't worry about it and have lotsa fun, and learn some stuff.

As you can see FM, you've gotten some well thought out replies to your feeling of being ignored. Now, my suggestion is to follow some of those thoughts posted and start writing stuff that makes us laugh or say to ourselves... HMMMMM, By Jove I think he's got a point!;)

When you've got a community such as Lit with a TON of members, it's tough to get noticed, even when you DO say something of substance. There's a lot of people here and it's just impossible to give kudos to everyone that's worth giving props to.

I've been here for a few months and I just hit 500. LOL... is that pathetic or what?!?! There are a few folks here that have signed up at the same time and they have over 5000 posts. What does that say? Really, nothing.

So, sit back, relax and be comfortable. You'll see that in time, people will start to recognize you and things will be okay. People always flock to someone who seems like they're having fun. :)

Enjoy!

Post counts

don't amount to anything of import.

Yes, I have a bazillion posts and can be as foolish, rude or plain stupid as the next guy with 1 post.

Also, time frames don't matter either. It took me a month to get to a hundred posts. I believe it took five months, six weeks of which I was out of work, to break a thousand. Frankly, I dont' know where the other 7000 came from.

And ya know what?

There are still times and threads where I go completely unnoticed. Ahh well, such is cyber life!

;)

Oh and I posted about 100-200 times before being noticed.

I noticed you....

I think for me the thing that catches my eye is the AV... it's the first thing I see when scanning throught the boards. So, get posting... just put in your opinion anywhere you think it fits. We've all had our stupid moments and our amazingly good moments... either will get you noticed.

Awwwwww shucks! (kicking sand with my foot)

Both of you ladies are gonna make me blush! Cut it out! Cut it out! Cut it out!

If it wasn't for you lovely ladies & your wonderfully tantalizing replies, I'd be one bored guy here. Kudos to you ladies too!:rose: :rose:
