Recently I saw some middle aged punk rockers walking around at the shopping mall. I wanted to run up and hug them.

God, I love those boys. They're on permanent rotation in the car collection. Although it's amusing to realize that one is both the person with "Anarchy in the UK" blasting out of the stereo and the only one with the civility to heed the pedestrian crossing.

I'm so conflicted.

Sigh, Quiet Riot has to be the worst metal or rock band on the face of the planet, but those two songs are bizarrely addicting.



Ultimate pick-up song though is "Don't Worry About the Government" by Talking Heads. It has such a cynically perky happy tune that you can't help but sway happily to it and sing along.

At Christmas time she was tlaking about Green Day as if they were some revolutionary rebellious rock band and not the corporate hack wannabees that they are.
