I cry whenever I get a glimpse of the man.

I think he's just about the greatest live person on the planet.

Even better'n Larry Byrd.

They've approached him to run for Governor of Maryland!!!! He told them to forget that of course.

But I would vote for him.

He's the greatest!

Yes. Nolan Ryan too. Gotta love those iron men. Then ones who come to play everyday, hurt, sick, during a losing streak, the ones who just want to play one more day, please oh God, let play one more game...

Two great role models. I only know the baseball stuff about Ripken since I was raised in Dallas. But I have never heard a bad thing about his character or morals.

As for Nolan, wouldn't he make a great grand dad for your kids?

Good men in a world that needs more.

Well said. I like to go split wood just like the great one. One of my favorite "workouts." Both of those guys would be great grand-dads. So too would George Brett. Another real sports hero.

Great Game Yet Again...

Jeter iz still the one I hate to see Batting in the 9th with the game on the line...

Another great player

Mickey Mantle. After I saw "61" I think he is GREAT!!!!!! The guy played hurt. He may not of had strong morals, but his philosopy about "lving life to it's fullest" was VERY admirable.
