Below is a picture of Locklear and her teenage daughter at the Hollywood premiere of This Is 40. Yes: that is a teenage girl dressed like that at the premiere of a R-rated movie. Did she sneak out of the house and change into that outfit and put all that make-up on? No, she went like that with her mother.

In this day and age, parents are responsible for ensuring their children have the freedom to express themselves with a certain level of independence, but also are responsible for ensuring their children present themselves with a respectable amount of decorum. Allowing your daughter to dress like that doesn't do either of those.

Parents should also consider the influence their children might have on other children. If another teenager sees Locklear and her daughter, she might assume its OK to dress like that. Its not.

Who put you in charge of telling parents how to raise their children?

I Googled, and her dress looks fine to me. There's no stuff hanging out or anything like that. WTF?

The erection he got from looking at Locklear's teenage daughter's slutty outfit gives him the right to condemn others for his prurient leanings.

Dude... what exactly is your problem with the little black dress? That's an American standard. To insult that garment is seriously to insult the fashion designers of the States. This has been a basic since Coco fucking Chanel. Seriously. WTF?

The dress is a little short for my taste. I never would have been allowed out of the house in it, without a pair of spanks or leggings underneath it. but honestly, other than the length, I have no problem with it.

At the very least nothing is hanging out.

Last time I saw Heather Locklear in a tv movie she had so much face work done her lips didn't move.

The dress is a little short but at least, she is spending time with her daughter.

Thats exactly how my secretarys 13 and 15 yo daughters dress.

But they go to dance class too.

so, whatever...my daughter doesn't dress like that.

I'm sure Heather blocks everyone's view when the girl gets out of the car.

At the risk of getting some crap thrown back, it doesn't seem that bad to me. She could be wearing a low cut number and a v. short skirt and you mght have a point. And, to be fair, you don't know the context for this either - how often have you gone to a formal do and everything's last minute rush/panic? How do you know the mother wasn't confronted with her daughter's appearance right before they left with no time to play the good parent?

I had visions of some barely into-her-teens girl showing far too much the way you introduced the thread.

Questions back at you - how old were you when you started dressing like this? How old were you when you had your first sexual experience?

Don't expect you to answer but she's hardly pre-pubescent is she?

Now, if your post had been on these so called 'glam parades' where little 4,5,6 year olds are dressed up, made to wear little bras and put on makeup then you really do have a point.

Why not focus on where the real issue is?

Heather Locklear is not known for her great talents but she is very personable and pleasant to look at. She has made a good living at it. Is it any surprise she supports her daughter doing the same thing. It can be a good career. It's nice work if you can get it.

Well, then it's a good thing that you're not married to heather locklear, and as such, the way that she raises your daughter has no bearing on you.
