... before I ordered my baby cockatiel, and every breeder I spoke to said these guys were the best.
Now that I've had him for 24 hours. i have had the chance to play with him a little and had a good look at him. He's quite healthy - feathers shiny and smooth, no stress lines, no discharge from anywhere, poop normal, breastbone well-covered....
But.
The breeder clipped a single wing (wrong) and didn't just do the flight feathers but also clipped his primary coverts
This is an absolute no-no. It unbalances the bird, especially when he's so young and needs to learn.
I am not happy about this.
He'll be ok after he moults, but it has set him back a few months
