Seeing as how Q is such a trendsetter, I decided to move up from panic attacks where I thought I was having a heart attack to feeling a burning sensation straight through the middle of my chest, a massive pain right through middle of my back, and hands feeling heavy and aching.

But come on it's just me, mister panic attack so it's nothing but I decide to call a cab. Get to hospital, they take me straight in. I tell them it's my hiatal hernia, the EKG will be negative, happens Everytime. Yet when 12 people walked in right after giving me an EKG, I knew it was it this time. Was told I was having a heart attack and needed to have a catheter run. Catheter showed few spots not getting good blood flow, so they put two stints in my heart.

Been a total wake up call to say the least. They figure it's the combo of my high cholesterol and genes.

Getting one more stint put in tomorrow and if all goes well, I'm out of here Tuesday afternoon. Like I said, total wake up call.

Glad you're okay and six feet above the ground, guy! Keep giving the Reaper the finger! ;)

Hey you take care of yourself. I too had a heart attack last week. Always wondered what would happen if I had a heart attack and thought it was one of my panic attacks. No comparison. I thought I was toast. Hang in there and I will be thinking of you.

You are too young to have a heart attack. This isn't funny!

Read the book "Never get Sick Again". Not that it will "cure" you, absolutely not. Just to view your day to day in a healthier way in which you can take control.

I think you and I are roughly the same age..

Hang in, take control, get better!!! I am counting on it

Denial seems to be a part of having a heart attack. I had quad bypass ten years ago and a small attack a year ago. Same, cholesterol and genes. Not overweight and ride bicycles a lot. They want to hold off on stents for a few more years if possible. More bypasses out of the question and stents are my last resort. So best try make it into my 60s before I get stents.

If you smoke, QUIT. Low fat, no salt added diet. Food portions must have 5% of daily fat at most. Take your meds especially the statins to lower cholesterol.

Baked pastries and deep fried foods will kill you. Red meat not a good idea. Fish and skinless chicken breasts. Potatoes seem to require more fatty things on them to be really palatable. Rice far less so. Vinaigrettes for salad dressings. 2% or skim milk.

Check labels. Like I said for low fat diet must read 5% or less of daily intake.

All the best.

Orca is such a selfish prick...

No phone call made and every school kid on the planet would be knee deep in paste for the next 3 years.

Don't Save the Whales!

You would have went rock star if you ate it.

Glad you're not pushin' daisies, my friend. Take care of yourself.

Healing blessings and relaxing (but still good) music to you, sir.

All my pain was between my shoulder blades. Thought I had done something to my back or neck. When I passed out in emerge and woke up on a stretcher with all sorts of IVs in me I figured it was not a bad back. Mum died at 46, younger brother at 38, dad at 64. Should have known it was my turn.

Heart shit sucks. My atrial fib sucks. Death and impending death suck.

Nobody gets out alive but we last as long as we can. Gives us something to do.

Good luck with survival for now. Stare Death in the eye and ask, "Want to play a game?"

Glad you are both still with us.

I was taken out by pneumonia-induced aFib...
