I'm in the desperate need of sleep right now because I got up early yesterday. I had a doctor's appointment BEFORE work. Then I worked all day which is usually fatiguing. I really need to rest.

And now it's fucking 2:40 a.m. and I can't fucking sleep necause I got toothaches. GODDAMIT !

Sorry for the cursing but this really sucks.

Sleep...

Is that something you weird foreign types do?

Seriously, I'm probably officially the worst person to talk to about insomnia problems. The fact that this is my 37th...no 42nd straight hour awake is probably related to that.

I'm assuming you don't have any pain medication? Got any whiskey? I won't suggest jerking off, cause it's hard to concentrate when one is in pain. Good luck, Snoop.:rose:

Lie down, close your eyes and go shopping. Pick out a house and clothes and a car and where you are going to buy condos and what your lovely lovers are going to look like, etc... Get very detailed. You will get bored and doze off in no time. ;)

Hope you feel better soon!

Wow, that's actually pretty much time with no sleep. How doyou do that? Doesn't your body just need it?

By the way it's actually a pretty scary thought, isn't it? Lucifer does not sleep ! :)

I tried normal painkillers but they don't seem to work. And of course jerking off is the last thing I'll think about now. You are right with that.

Thnx for the tip with the whiskey but I don't have any, and I suppose I'd have to get a lot of alcohol inside me to ease the pain, and that won't do any much better when I have to get up in ......4 and a half hours ! Fuck !

Thnx, that's actually part of what I'm doing right now. Checking out some offers for 'flat-sharing' on the net.

Sems you had the right idea. But I don't feel much more dizzy yet.

You know the saying "evil never sleeps?"

And the trick for long term insomnia is that there are various hour-long or less humps and the rest is easy. There will be points that you'll feel tired, so you change into a more upright position, down some caffeine, whatever until it passes and then you're good for another 6-8 hours or whatever. But it plays Hell on your senses, especially the eyes. It's best to keep marathon length <anything 36 hours or longer> for need to times like tests or essays or if you're me: a particularly good run of writing inspiration (or whenever I feel like it as well).

I doubt this is what you need to know right now as you're trying to get to sleep, not avoid it.

Have you tried the Comically Oversized Mallet, yet?

Actually I think I'm giving it another try and go back to bed.

I just hope I will fall asleep now that I tired my eyes by staring at a screen.

The catch is that my pain is not staedy but comes in waves. Which make me fall asleep for twenty minutes then wake up again by the appearing and slowly increasing new pain.

Teeth can be a bitch.

Snoopy

P.S:Anyways, thnx for the tips and g'night. (To those who want and can sleep)

Hey, nothing wrong with venting. Sounds like someone needs some codeine to kill the pain, and get some sleep. Hope you feel better! *hugs*

Just want to update you guys and vent some more.

As bad as the night was when I posted this, it got worse. And the day after - even worse.
I couldn't fall asleep. Tried more painkillers, didn't work. I must have had about three hours of sleep in total. I got up - tootaches, I showered - less toothaches, got dressed and went to work - more toothaches again. The work day started with me being totally distracted and in pain. I had the opportunity to go to lunch break early and go see a dentist. They fixed one teeth, thikning that would have caused the whole situation. They were sadly mistaken. I got back to work, things were a little better (with anaesthesia and all (spelling?)). Wrong. When they deadended nerves came back to life it ached even more. I tried to fight the pain, but was close to telling my boss to go home because I couldn't take it anymore. But I stayed. Work was slow and difficult as you can imagine. Then finally, half an hour before end of work, I couldn't take it anymore. Asked my boss to leave early so I could see the dentist again. So twenty minutes before the dentist closed I showed up and asked them for some kind of pain-treatment so I could sleep this night. First they couldn't find the problem, then they x-rayed my upper left jaw and saw that two teetch were badly damaged up to the nerves. Ouch. The good news is they fixed it and now I seem to be in very little pain this night.

My god, what a horrible day.

Snoopy, hurt

Thnx for the hug, Lou. That felt good.
I'll go and get some rest first. There's sleep to make up for.

Yeah, it's really ironic that the feeling of the pain going away is one of the BEST, lol.

The magical thoughts seem to have helped. I slept through the night and today the pain is gone. (Well, there's a short ache now and then but that's normal since three teeth have been drilled and all) Thnx loevely.
