I can't read comments on my own stories

I've started publishing stories and I've allowed voting and comments on each of those those stories. According to the comments icon some people have posted comments but I can't see them.

The attached file shows what I see where the comments are supposed to be.

I can see comments on other author's works but not on my own. What am I doing wrong? How do I read comments on my own stories?

Comments sometimes get moderated before appearing, so there can be a period of a few hours between when you get notified of a new comment and when that comment is generally visible.

However, your chapters have been up for a while, so I don't think it's that. I'm not seeing any comments on them. Are you certain it's comments and not favourites or reading lists? Can you post a screenshot of the view where you're seeing comment notifications?

That's a reading list.

Comments can be seen on your Works tab on your Control Panel - the speech bubble. You will also be notified on your Home Page when the comment arrives.

Comments are rare - my metric is one in a thousand Views (Votes, one in a hundred). Lit is a feedback-low site, unfortunately - readers don't vote, don't comment.

Yeah, don't feel bad if you don't get any comments for a while. Even though it really does help motivate (when they're good ones obviously) you don't get them that often. I think that there is some form of Anti-Troll filtering going on, so that's good too. Electric's numbers hold for my stuff too. What's fun is when you get a comment that doesn't make any sense and you have to ask yourself, "Did they read my story and get that out of it or somebody else's and then somehow end up clicking mine to comment?"

Just don't double tap the little mushroom cloud icon.
