I've been thinking about several things for days now, and I just can't fit them cohesively into posts of merit. Therefore I will just lump them all into one thread, and hope that gives it the shot of "somethinganother" it needs.
First, can someone please fix the appearance of page 1? My eyes are just throbbing with the size of the page, having to scroll all the way over, left and right, back and forth, I am just dizzy.
While all the *bratcat* posts are humorous, so far, I have not the interest in hurting my head any worse by actually OPENING any of the numerous threads to find out...it IS rather frustrating. Thank you.
(*bratcat*, I enjoy you immensely, please don't misinterpret my thoughts.)
OK, the first thing that I have been tossing around is the upset so many have about threads being "hijacked'. Being that this is a public forum, isn't it everyones right to post, wherever, whenever, and however many times they would like to?
Why does it bother so intensely that someone actually speaks to someone in a manner considered to be off topic, when we have the lovely ability to use the quote function to redirect, and speak with whomever we choose? Granted, when a serious thread becomes a "flirt~a~thon/chat~a~thon", yes, that is irritating, but it does not stop me from posting, if I have something I'd like to say. It would be nice, after a few replies between those that are deemed "off topic", to take it elsewhere, but sometimes it just doesn't happen that way, and in my mind, we should just allow our eyes to glaze over, and continue on. Why does this offend? Does it stop you (anyone in general) from posting, and why do you feel the need to comment negatively to others who are chatting, and embarass them? How do you feel when it happens to you?
Any thoughts? I'd love to understand, and thank you.
I am not going to elaborate any further on the other tangents of this issue because I realize all the rest is too much of a personal issue for me, so thats just "my little red wagon',
but I would like to add that I think there is such a thing as "posting manners", and they go a very long way.
Do you see a need for "posting manners", and if so, what are yours?
Todays positive affirmation: "Yesterday was OK, today will be better."
PS: I wouldn't quote this very long post if I were you...
