I've been thinking about several things for days now, and I just can't fit them cohesively into posts of merit. Therefore I will just lump them all into one thread, and hope that gives it the shot of "somethinganother" it needs. :)

First, can someone please fix the appearance of page 1? My eyes are just throbbing with the size of the page, having to scroll all the way over, left and right, back and forth, I am just dizzy. :( While all the *bratcat* posts are humorous, so far, I have not the interest in hurting my head any worse by actually OPENING any of the numerous threads to find out...it IS rather frustrating. Thank you. :)
(*bratcat*, I enjoy you immensely, please don't misinterpret my thoughts.)

OK, the first thing that I have been tossing around is the upset so many have about threads being "hijacked'. Being that this is a public forum, isn't it everyones right to post, wherever, whenever, and however many times they would like to?
Why does it bother so intensely that someone actually speaks to someone in a manner considered to be off topic, when we have the lovely ability to use the quote function to redirect, and speak with whomever we choose? Granted, when a serious thread becomes a "flirt~a~thon/chat~a~thon", yes, that is irritating, but it does not stop me from posting, if I have something I'd like to say. It would be nice, after a few replies between those that are deemed "off topic", to take it elsewhere, but sometimes it just doesn't happen that way, and in my mind, we should just allow our eyes to glaze over, and continue on. Why does this offend? Does it stop you (anyone in general) from posting, and why do you feel the need to comment negatively to others who are chatting, and embarass them? How do you feel when it happens to you?
Any thoughts? I'd love to understand, and thank you.

I am not going to elaborate any further on the other tangents of this issue because I realize all the rest is too much of a personal issue for me, so thats just "my little red wagon', :) but I would like to add that I think there is such a thing as "posting manners", and they go a very long way. :) Do you see a need for "posting manners", and if so, what are yours?

Todays positive affirmation: "Yesterday was OK, today will be better." :) :rose:

PS: I wouldn't quote this very long post if I were you... :)

You might know that as soon as I finally get all this typed, the board is fixed. :D

:rose:

uh, oh.

I am now going to derail my own thread. :D Ahhh...it is so "me"...so hello, Miss Trish, how the heck are you? :) You look so very lovely. :rose:

i dont know what happened to page one but it seems fixed to me now or maybe its not showing up the same way on my screen

everyone does hijacking a little but sometimes it go to far and can be very annoying and plain rude ... people start a thread because they want to discuss something more often then not ... and if two posters post two pages worth of flirts then usually nobody will bother replying again to the thread about the original topic

if i hijack a thread and someone tells me that its annoying and could i start my own thread im grown up to accept that they are indeed correct and i wont hold any ill will towards them for pointing it out

anyway thanks for an interesting post intrigued :)

well not sure what ya mean about page 1 but as far as hijacking topics i think it can fit in with posting manners there are times when it does and doesn't bother me the more serious i wanna know about the thread the more it bothers me but there will always be the problem of unserious people but thats the way they are. And for other posting manners i think doing ones best not to purposely offend another.

Well, it is YOUR thread after all. You can derail it in any way you see fit Sweetness!

It's a beautiful morning here in Candy Land.

And thank you for the compliment (and sorry for the highjack  )

i think also with hijacking threads just because you might not find it interesting doesn't mean someone else won't

for instance wrestling threads i have no interest in them at all but if the poster who started it wants to discuss it then its rude to hijack it

some threads you can tell though are started to just be hijacked and for people to discuss almost anything

Ummmmm I think we should talk in way more detail about this....Perhaps naked, and ummmmmmmmm

Was that a hi-jack......forgive me.....my posting manners are terrible........;) :p

** OK, this is what i don't understand. Why?? Why would it stop you from quoting, redirecting, and speaking your mind?

if i hijack a thread and someone tells me that its annoying and could i start my own thread im grown up to accept that they are indeed correct and i wont hold any ill will towards them for pointing it out

** Not my point at all, it isn't about maturity level, its about kindness. I think if someone is this bothered, they could PM the person.

anyway thanks for an interesting post intrigued :)

LOL, if you say so. :) :) *whispers "hi, nice to see you*

mritsme...I agree 100%....there is no need to be offensive, period. There are many ways to communicate effectively without doing so. The english Language is so under used.
:)

I must annoy a lot of people sexy-girl.

I do not come onto a thread to hijack (well, sometimes I get excited because I see someone I know) But I can't help replying to someone who has acknowkedged me. I usually try to answer the question or participate in the thread as well.

I find it rude when I come on a thread and the host acknowledges everyone else but me or doesn't take the time to answer their threads.

Hell...I thought it was all in fun. It never bothered me if someone hijacks...I usually can bring it back on track.

Hello, Candy Lips...wherever shall we meet?:)

Since you did mention the topic of the thread, we're not hijacking, are we?: ;)

Let me make myself clear...I don't have a problem with it. I just wish to understand why others do.

sg...exactly. We're individuals, and really, I think we (generally speaking) could be a bit more tolerant of others.

Good morning

Trish and intrigued. 2 of my favorites in the same thread. I hope you ladies are doing well.

I think some folks do it to lighten a thread when it becomes particularly heated....Or some just do it to be annoying (imagine that) lol....

I don't find it bothersome at all....I read what I went in to read and respond....A little slap and tickle then I am gone lol.....Hmmmmm slap and tickle.....Lets go lol....:D

Hmmm, Intrigued. I've always wondered what you might be intrigued about, or by. Now I guess I know. However, to stay on the topic at hand, I do find hijackings somewhat distracting, but otherwise have no real beef with the hijackers. As to posting manners, I really think we all know what they are, but some of us unfortunately don't always follow them. I don't think posting a set of rules would change things.

Thank you, dear!!! You just said exactly what I have been trying so hard not to say. I will always reply to someone that takes the time to address me. I have been ignored repeatedly, and quite frankly, it just makes me close out the page and go elsewhere. I will never ignore anyone kind enough to take the time to speak to me, to feel they have something to share with me. Period.
I also think it is rude to start a thread asking for input, or worse, to ask a specific question of a serious nature, and even worse, to be so upset that you have others upset, and then not even bother to reply to those who took the time to share with you! I'm sorry, that is just...umm..., no. All I can say is it is tasteless.
And really, all they need to do is address everyone in general, that is very nice. But when they only pick one or two to address, well, I sit there thinking, damn, am I typing in invisible ink? Am I a total idiot? (Among other thoughts I will not share.) :)
Further, I am not really speaking of fun type threads, where we are just cutting up, laughs are a gift, meant to be shared. They need only be accepted...

Yes, I know that sometimes we miss things. But if you start a thread, atleast be so kind as to read it. :)

Well heck, if lightening up is the intent, go ahead and address the people heated up, lol.:) This is a most excellent time for flirting....:D ( I really am kidding, but the cut~up in me takes over sometimes...)

On my way...though it would help if you take my hand, I tend to get lost a bit too easily. :)

Bluesboy...hi there! Thank you, how sweet.. :rose:

Orwell, if I told you all that intrigues me, this would turn into the hijacking of all hijackings. ;)
No, rules are the worst thing we can do...however, simple thinking about others feelings, being pleasant, and choosing your words "creatively" pretty much covers it all. Thank you for sharing. :rose:

Good morning, russell...thank you, its nice to see you. :)
