I know I read either a long or multi-part story a few years ago. I tried EVERY tag I could possibly think of and tried google as well - no such luck. Here's what I can remember from the story:
A single mother, who works in a diner, runs into the man who knocked her up (but he didn't know she had his child). He goes to her apartment eventually and when he sees her son, he realizes that it is his son. They go through a romance, even go on a date, and eventually he somehow forces her to move in with him (he is well off I think). She is reluctant to get intimate with him. Eventually, they have sex and their young son walks in on them. Also, the husband had to go away on business and he brought her something small back (maybe a mug?).
I have been searching for the past few weeks and I have come up with nothing!! PLEASE help me!!
