I can't figure it out

I usually get quite a few votes on my stories, but my past two I've submitted are getting thousands of views but only a few votes, not even 10 yet but over 3,000 views for one and 400 for one just posted yesterday...

Any feedback?

Those are not unusual numbers. I tend to get votes on about .3% of views. That is three votes for a thousand views. On some stories I get more but that is about average.

Did you include a paragraph soliciting votes and comments? I include one at the end of every story and it helps. The problem is that it helps me get bad votes as well as good ones.

How dare you. You're certainly not entitled to an opinion if it clashes with my own superior one.

On a serious note I'd do what the other poster said and put a nice message at the end of your stories asking for praise. That's what I do anyway.
