I can't fall asleep...

Ok- I finally tried to go to sleep about an hour ago (12:30 am) and lay awake in my bed... finally I gave up and came back to lit...
This happens to me often (the not sleeping well part).
Any suggestions? And please don't give me the warm milk suggestion- I have no milk in my apartment and it makes me gag just to think of it...

I have NO problems sleeping.. i love to sleep.. i just don't require much.. so i don't do it often.:D

did you try a warm bath?
reading a book?
watching a really boring show on tv?

wait.. wanna see a nude pic of me? puts my husband to sleep every night! ;)
 
Maybe I'll try the book- I can't take a bath right now- makes too much noise for my roomie (the water, not what you were thinking, perv! :p ) and a boring TV show will just bore me, not put me to sleep...

I just wish I had a bathtub.. so i could do what you thought i thought you were talking about ;)

The idiot (my dad) who remodeled my bathroom (it's my parents house that i'm living in, they did the remodeling) put in a shower only. NO TUB!!!! and I hate it! :mad:

The last one is out of the question- no one to have it with at the moment... so Mensa, your idea is out the door too.

Go to a half price book store. Buy a few law books. I suggest Property or Contracts. That's a definite cure. You have no idea how many highlighting stains I have from falling asleep while reading last year. :)
If I really wanted to fall asleep with highlight stains on me, I could just take out some of my old Education or Psychology textbooks... lol - unfortunately, that won't work for me :)
 
i just took some nyquil, it seems to be doin the trick... i may not even make it to my room before i pass out.

I know how you feel. I've suffered insomnia on and off for the past two years. It's been gone since around May/June.

Now it's back with a vengance.
 
a cup of warm tea or coffee usually does it for me... and if i need something else.. i'll go for the coconut cookies (some fo the best ones)..


and then there's reading... and music.. and tv

Althought it didn't help my insomnia.

Ah well. I guess I'm going to go lay in my bed and pretend to sleep until about 9am.
