I expect the reason is so that you can check your posts and NOT making errors like:

"faster then I'm allowed to."

which should be

"faster than I'm allowed to."



Maybe it should be 45 seconds between posts?

Lit seems to keep up with mine just fine, I've managed up to 6 posts per minute in the past.
You just can't wait for it to bring you back to the main thread, and then hit post again.
Instead, submit your reply, and the moment it switches to the mid-screen, check the progress box at the bottom of your browser. The moment it becomes active, hit back-page.

Some of us are wittier than others. When I hit that wall I write a PM to one of my buddies. 2 posts & one pm per minute should keep you occupied.
