I mean...who can't trade up to #3...give your future away doing it...and then take an unknown...untried QB when there are 2 proven QBs available?

OR

Who passes on the reigning Heisman winner by trading down 2 spots...and only gets a 3rd round pick out of it?

Seriously...their GMs must be Republicans cause no one else can be this stupid

They're trying to win back fans by having players who actually want to PLAY THE DAM GAME instead of do all kinds of stupid things for the cameras.

They don't want the "stars" anymore because all they want to do is posture. Picking lower level players who are hungry works much better if you want to appease the fans who left.

Lol. Thanks for proving my point.

So I see the 49ers got da North Dakoota State guy. Ooof DAH!! I don't know how he'll do; being from North Dakoota State isn't necessarily a bad thing (Carson Wentz is from there, too and he did okay) but the 49ers have been searching for a good, stable franchise quarterback ever since Steve Young retired, and other than a few flash in a pan one year wonders, they've never really had one.

Ryan Leaf, Johnny Manzlel (Heisman Award) ... 1st round
Tom Brady 6th round

Yep some of these GM's have to be that F'in stupid.

The problem is that they traded up for him...and could have had either Jones or Fields so that means they traded up for him...and gave away their future. And here is the bottom line...there is a 100% chance he would have still been there at their original draft spot looking at how the draft fell out. It isn't that he is a bad QB. He just isn't good enough to mortgage the next 3 years.

They had a QB and they traded him away...just another example of a dumb decision.

As for the Cowboys...they got a decent player on defense that should help their cause...which is pathetic. But this game is about salary cap. Amari Cooper is a 22 million dollar hit...and he has underperformed for 2 years. He could have been replaced for 3 million with a player that is as good as Cooper now with a higher potential in 5 years and then 19 million could have been used to focus on their number 1 need...a cornerback.

For the first time in over 70 years, my beloved Bears have a franchise quarterback.

What a Bears move. And thats what they said about McMahon, Harbaugh, McNown, Grossman, Trubisky and so on and so on.

Plus, how much money they have tied up in Dalton and Foles?
