I assume only bold and italic HTML tags work for submissions?

I tried blockquote - not really crucial, but I was curious to see if it did anything. It didn't.

I used to know some CSS but I guess that is not relevant to the system here.

You'll get a more knowledgeable response in the Author's Hangout. FWIW, blockquote should have worked except for the Lit Android APP, which doesn't recognize anything beyond the most basic HTML.
