Just got back from grocery store. They were out of a lot of stuff like bananas and toilet paper and pasta and were limiting ground beef sales to one pack per customer. They had plenty of BOGO wine which I stocked up on. I almost throat punched some dumb cunt who was wearing a face mask and gloves. Who they fuck orders 4 slices of cheese and 6 slices of salami from the goddamn deli? Fuck that shit dog!

Liquor store was so pleasant and had nice conversation with clerk and I bought tequila, vodka and bourbon.

I am 'snobbish' enough that I wouldn't even care if a liquor store had a sign saying 'Free cases of Stella Artois available here' if the fine print said that I had to drink them myself and couldn't sell any. The same goes for Bud or Miller or Heinekin or Becks or whatever other mass-produced crap lagers might be offered. There is a whole wide world of decent to great beer out there now, stuff that actually tastes good, so if I can afford it, that's what I'll drink. If I can't afford it, I'll happily go sober.

Then again, I am sober these days because of the prescriptions I am on, so avoiding all beer is sadly required.

I make snobby beer for a living and still drink whatever the fuck as long as its free. And Stella is not bad. They use decent ingredients actually. Noble hops yo! Also Americans could not make Pilsner Urquell if their life depended on it. I’ve come close but still not as good. It’s the fucking water and even salt additions cant come close. I mostly only pay for wine and liquor but mostly because I get worn out on beer and only wanna get faded. How you been?

I live close enough to Jack's Abby, though, that if I want a good lager, then I can get one. I also live close enough to Tree House and Trillium that I can get world-class ales from the source with minimal effort. Then again, I can't drink anything these days.
