I've done the 18 hours of sleep in a day my entire life.

I usually only sleep 3 or 4 hours a night for weeks, then my body decides to catch up, and I'll sleep for hours, and hours.

It's not uncommon for me to sleep through a whole weekend once every couple of months.

hmm... Guess that just proves I'm odd. You need to slow down.

Yep that was me.... magazines around the world wanting articles written, being asked to travel to lecture and tutor workshops, art commisions, running my punlishing business, kids etc.....

I mind was being split so many ways I did not realise the toll it was taking until I burnt myself out..... it is not a pretty site and it takes forever to build back up again.

hey look at that I just admited to all and sundry I burnt myself out. It is not easy to admit it once it has happened.... now 10 months later I am just about able to handle pressure...

I cut out the magazine work, not so much traveling and I have not written a new book this year... just dealing with my publishing/exporting business.

You might just think you are tired and a couple of days of sleepins will bring you right, but one day they are not going to be enough....
