I used to live on the top of a mountain, on top of a hill on top of that mountain, in the woods at 9000 feet altitude. I loved it! It changed me into being more introverted than I already was though.

Woods above 9,000 feet... those are some hardy trees.

about 10/11+ i noticed them thin out drastically. 9 was still forest. beautiful forest.

Or I could move back to a big town. No one cares who you are there. Little towns are tough. Had a lady yelling at me on the phone because she didn't like how my husband parked the SUV and trailer. I don't remember talking to the neighbors in the town I grew up in. Maybe waved when you took out the trash. Here everybody is up your butt about something.

That's the problem with posh neighborhoods.
You could move to a less posh part of the town - they'll be so happy to have a normal person as a neighboor, they'll put up with anything.

I miss Washington State and the mountain ranges there. Although, if i remember correctly Mt Hood is in Oregon and we camped in the Blue Mountains once in Washington.

I miss my life there. Part of me, a large part, wishes I had not moved back to Ohio.

TH you just need to move to a place with a lot fewer neighbors or ones that are a mile away. Maybe two miles. Trust me, it is fantastic.

But most owners of those retarded combinations cant afford a big enough home.

So they park on the street and ruin the neighborhood.

I have lived on the outskirts of a small town for most of my life and the remainder in the quiet, quaint older fringe of a city...I can count the number of run-ins with neighbours over the years with one hand and still have fingers left over.

...a homemade apple pie or jar of jam and a gab at the end of the drive goes a loooong way to making people happy to have you around.

People who move rural because they want to escape being social have it backwards. Country folk want to know who's living where and what their story is.

It's just a small trailer to haul scout gear. It is only here to restock and then it goes out to a farm. It is not a permanent thing! Woof!
