Playing a lot of him and the Stones at the Hard Rock tonight

We have this secret love. Shhhh...I'm trying to get him to start text messaging me too! :D

My sister liked him so much, she named her first child Eric. Guess it's better than naming him Rolling Stone.

...and I hoped this thread was about me :D

I simply love Slowhand's blues guitar.

.. we go to a party

Thanks Rex! :D

I'm loving a song on his From The Cradle album. I saw him play it in concert and ahhhh I was in Heaven!

I'm Tore Down

I'm tore down, I'm almost level with the ground.
I'm tore down, I'm almost level with the ground.
Well, I feel like this when my baby can't be found.

I went to the river to jump in.
My baby showed up and said, "I will tell you when."

Well, I'm tore down, I'm almost level with the ground.
Well, I feel like this when my baby can't be found.

I love you babe with all my heart and soul;
Love like mine will never grow old.
Love you in the morning and in the evening too.
Every time you leave me I get mad with you.

Chorus

I love you baby with all my might;
Love like mine is out of sight.
I'll lie for you if you want me to.
I really don't believe that your love is true.

Chorus

I'm tore down, I'm almost level with the ground.
Well, I'm tore down, I'm almost level with the ground.
Well, I feel like this when my baby can't be found.

Clapton is GOD

Morrison is GOD

LED Zepplin is GOD

Saying they are gods is priceless, I agree with you Cally, that Clapton is excellent in concert, and I would love to see one of his acoustical shows live. I have alot of his albums, even the double disc layla set. Long live the power trio, and the hot grooves of Cream.

Clapton rocks!!!

LoL...Sorry BK ~ This is the only man I've had a crush on as far as celebrities go.

Erosman ~ You have to hear the song...you kinda just feel the meaning behind the words when you do...actually you feel them more when you sing them but that could just be me. My friends think I'm a nut but I love singing it to them...I can't be all that bad they don't hang up on me.

Ridddder ~ I love all of his work...to be honest my favorite was the Rush movie soundtrack but I lost the CD and never got around to getting another...hmm...big shopping day tomorrow...maybe...

LOL...I understand what you're saying. I probably feel the same way about listening to the Sons of the Pioneers..:D

Maybe we can trade songs someday on the phone - I'm Tore Down for Tumbling Tumbleweed.

I remember when Disraeli Gears came out and noticing the intro to the solo in "Sunshine of Your Love" was lifted from "Blue Moon".

Sunshine Of Your Love

by Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Pete Brown

It's getting near dawn,
When lights close their tired eyes.
I'll soon be with you my love,
To give you my dawn surprise.
I'll be with you darling soon,
I'll be with you when the stars start falling.

I've been waiting so long
To be where I'm going
In the sunshine of your love.

I'm with you my love,
The light's shining through on you.
Yes, I'm with you my love,
It's the morning and just we two.
I'll stay with you darling now,
I'll stay with you till my seas are dried up.

Chorus

Second Verse

I've been waiting so long
I've been waiting so long
I've been waiting so long
To be where I'm going
In the sunshine of your love.

i loved him when he was in cream ... but also cool when he was solo

The Cream of Clapton is an awesome CD...I just love him anyway I can get him!

DarkAngel ~ if you are Clapton in disguise...lol

Lancecastor ~ That is another one of my favorites of his. I hated it when I was younger but I love it now.

I don't really think there is one that I don't like. I have a friend who used to sing Lay Down Sally for me at this karaoke bar I go to sometimes...that one sends me.

Love Clapton but i have to say I hate what he did to Layla. It was a song with one of the most recognisable riffs in music and he ruined it.

Bring back the original version and to me, he will only get better :)

I thought I was the only one who saw that!!

Mmmm, Clapton..........

I grew up listening to Eric. He's great. My dad loves him, so last year I bought tix to see him when he came to Michigan. It was an awesome show and I would be more than happy to see another.
