That don't bother to read category descriptions or deliberately ignore them and post their sh*t where it doesn't belong.

Penalizing them with low scores doesn't help because of the sweep removing the 1 votes.

How about an "ignore" function so we can block them for the future. The mechanism already exists to "favourite" an author so the coding changes would be minimal to add a block feature.

Please let's add this to Lit's improvement schedule. SOON!

Not sure I have ever fucked an author. Unless masturbation counts.

Maybe you should stop getting drunk at book festivals?

Sort of like how the rest of us feel about idiots that post shit that belongs in the Authors Hangout on the GB.

Authors... lol

The absolute worst part of the GB is when you dont watch where you are going and you find out that yet another author is fucking you.

Well not being an author I couldn't/wouldn't do that in the Hangout. This is a readers perspective not an authors.

Apparently there are stories here that Authors can vote on. Which seems to cause as much consternation as chat being down. Laurel should just award everyone a participation ribbon and be done with it.

Lighten up, Francis.

A low score means nothing. The real score is how many pussy pics(or cock pics, as the case may be) from readers. As long as my email box is full, you can one-bomb, all night long.

Just, maybe, don't read stories of authors you don't like?

Most of them are new authors and you don't know until you're into the story.

Old authors that do that are just plain assholes looking to get flamed. Some of them love the humiliation that comes with it ??? Something I just don't get but I can avoid them.

Aaannnndddd there are so many would be authors here that it's difficult to remember them all never mind what they posted before.

Sometimes the stories wander thru various issues and it can be difficult to pick the right area but a lot of new authors just don't take the time to READ!

No reason why we shouldn't just have a button. It's not like it's an ejection button.

If that's true then why haven't you written anything in the last 4 years ??????

...

From an author's perspective, the Category descriptions are less than helpful. Reading them can mislead a newbie. Loving Wives doesn't mean what it says.

The final decision on which category is appropriate is made by Literotica, not the author.

But some of us are sick of F***ing Readers. They don't understand what we write and give us low votes or abusive comments.

The readers get what they pay for. They have paid nothing to read the stories and should be grateful they get such quality reading for their payment.

You get words on a screen. Sometimes they are even in the right order. If you don't like the story, back click and try another.

Of course some of us Authors are mean. We deliberately write to piss off the readers. Tweaking the tails of those who read Loving Wives is a popular pastime.

This one of mine was written to annoy readers. It seems to have worked:

And yes, this thread should have been in the Authors' Hangout. That's where we discuss writing and stories. The General Board is reserved for irritating each other and general arseing about. The Authors' Hangout is exactly the same but for irritating Authors and specifically literary arseing about.

Ah yes. Categories. What you fail to realize is that author's do not pick a category and write the story to fit it. We write the story and then try to figure out which category bests fits the story. Sometimes no one category fits all the crap we write. Then you have categories that trump other categories.

So we pick one and ship the story off to Laurel who looks at it and shakes her head and changes the category.

Fuck categories! They are a pain in author's asses. But then again, most of the time we get it right. Some of the time the read thinks we get it wrong. But you as a reader have to understand one thing above all.

We don't give a fuck, we're writing our next story and don't have time to worry about fucking categories.

:D

I guess Laurel should take this as a personal attack on her, since she makes the final decisions on story category placement.
