I'm not at all a fan of Sean Penn. I think my Sean Penn-liking circuits were burned out by sitting in the theater through the entire "The Thin Red Line" which I thereafter dubbed "The Thin Red Movie that Sucked Three Hours of My Life Away".
I can't watch him in anything since then.
Still, the movie had to end happily. The guy was going to eat it in a boat and on a plane, and even with a goat, so that's a good thing.
I didn't care for that movie all that much. I do however have to say that Penn did one hell of a job with that role. But I found the movie moved to slow, and the ending... well where was the ending? It showed the foster mother giving the kid to her father, then a soccer game. What happened in court? What happened between Sam and the lawyer? I just found that it left too many questions un-answered.
