too much. :D

BUT!!!!!!!

Tonight I got a call from my brother, whom I'd not had the honor of speaking to since xmas eve, because life is busy. Well, I was not here but I called him back and he was sort of joking around and said "I was searching the internet on artists and there is some chick out there named Starfish that is impersonating you. She some how has acess to all of your paintings and made a website for them." wink, wink, nudge, nudge

I giggled and then proceeded to tell him that I am sorry that I never showed him my site, but that I didn't want him to see it until it was done, and that when I got it done, I forgot to send him a link...

WELL.... I got an earfull of "My baby sister is a real artist. Oh goodie, blah blah.... I am so proud of you... By the way, you know that I am great friends with several of the area's local gallery owners, I have tons of friends who are heavily in the artist community here, and that our good friend (whom I know too, but didn't know this) is the Chair for the Black Swamp Arts Festival, held in Bowling Green annually. I will work some magic and try and get some of your work into a gallery here asap."

We joked around a bit, and I took this all in light at first, but he was serious. His wife, my dear friend, even got on the phone to tell me that he is serious and has been ranting about me since he saw my site, about helping me get into the area galleries and to have a booth at this years festival, this August.

I said that I could probably have 5 or so peices done for the festival, and he laughed and said that I'd need more than that because I'd be sold out in a day, and it is for three days. I said I didn't know if I could, and that is when he said something that shocked me.... "You need to have lithograph numbered prints done so you can sell more, and then the originals can go to the galleries and hopefully you can get a buyer then that will shell out a lot of money."

I was stumped but thrilled. How the fuck am I going to have lithographs made????? Well, he just so happend to then say that another friend of his has a degree in digital media, but that he worked for a printer for years, and specialized in lithograph. He said that in two weeks we'll get together and he can give me all the info he gets, and talk turkey.

What I am so excited about is that I know he isn't bullshitting me. He will show these people, who have a great foothold on the art scene in Toledo, my website, and hopefully, something great may come of all of this.

I just wanted to share this with you all....

I've shared my pain and my joys here with my lit family...

I am happy that this is a joy.

Okay, I'll pull my head out of the clouds now... :D

I say keep your head in the clouds a bit longer!

I needed to read something encouraging right now, and this sure helped!

Starfish

Good luck.

Funnily enough fish... about the same time you were finding all this info out...

Here was I looking at getting lithographs done after being asked to put my artwork in the local gallery yesterday.

Life gets but stranger.

Congratulations

Pass me that pipe. I am starting to run low! :(

I should be able to make it through break, at least. :)

That is wonderful Fishy, and yes get some lithographs done....Put the originals in galleries, get your stuff out there girl.....

Good news.....;) :p

That's so awesome, and it's a connection that was always there.... Wow.

Sounds like you have a great brother, and that you have some prosperous times ahead of you! Keep up the good work, and good luck with your lithograths, art festival, and galleries.

Cool! :)

Great starfish

There are tides in the affairs of starfish,
which taken at the flood lead on to - oceans.

Starfish ,

That is great news !

What is the addy to your web site. I would like to see your paintings as well. :)

Thank you all for the warm wishes. I am really busy, so I can't say much more, but I really appreciate the love.

Chef, that is interesting and really cool. I'd love to see some of your work. How would one do that? ;)

dreamer..... A fellow Ohioian! Nice. I imagine that my first showing will be in Toledo somewhere, but I don't know for certain. I'll be sure to post and tell later on. As far as prints are concerend, I hope I can accomplish somthing soon, because I know that alexandrahhh wanted to buy that peice, and it would be cool if she could have a print at least, since that peice isn't for sale. (it was done specificly for my mom and dad)

PrincessSalome, That peice is titled "Nightwatch" and it was done via fusing two photos.... One of my back deck at night, and one of myself in the kitchen that I filled in with a black background. It was my first digital experiment. Needless to say, it was a blast to make, and it seems everyone loves it. My dad even made it into wallpaper for his desktop.

Aphrodisiac, If you click the www. symbol below my sigline of my posts that will take you to my website. :D

Riff, I am picking up a 1/4 tonight around 8. Should I expect you around 8:30? ;)

llee69, scylis, T.H. Oughts, hatara, april, Wiggles, freescorfr, and kotori, again, thank you all so much for the warmth and love.

Thank you all again, and have a great day.

What a High! Better than any weed you could buy!

Timing, it is always timing. Sounds like it is your time, now.:)

Congratulations . I hope everything works out for you. My sister once had a chance to do this, but did not put her heart into it and regrets that she did not. So follow your heart.

You must be on a cloud! I'm so happy for you, little fish. If you do go to Bowling Green please let me know. I'll drive up and keep you company in your booth!

Congrats!

Does this mean your brother knows that you are Starfish here at Lit?
