I am LOST. Is there a FAQ for this forum? Or is this just another flirting forum?

I love poetry. In particular, I love poems. They don't have to be written by myself (I actually do not write a lot of poems) and they don't even necessarily have to be erotic if they somehow illuminate something within me or the world about me.

Is there a place on Lit where POEMS are posted? I have looked. What I mean is, is there a place where the poems are and then we return here to discuss them? Or is it a matter of posting a poem up here and then people just comment?

Is there a convention for titling posts so that readers and writers know that when they click on a link they will find a submission and not just the conversation of people who might as well be in the General Discussion forum?

Forgive me for sounding a little frustrated, but I am.

Guidance?

Take a few minutes and look around! Yes we have some other things going on here, as any other group of people who come together with common interests.

you'll find a lot of what you're looking for on,
holding poems up to the light and beating them senseless
the new poems list
the new number one
criticism forum
there are other threads as well but those are all i want to spend the time listing for you. if you don't find what you are looking for either there, or on your own, feel free to jump in, anytime and start and maintain a thread dealing more with your interests.
most times unless it's in a detailed critique you will only find links to the poems not the whole thing.

No, to answer your question, this isn't just a flirting forum. In my opinion we are a well rounded poetry forum board with exciting poets/ readers and individuals who bring much to this board. As for the occassional *wink* *nudge* *kiss*? LOL This is a porn board.

IMHO it is a forum where we meet poets/ writers/ readers who use this forum to learn, read, enjoy, interact and give feedback.

I am glad you like poetry. We always welcome new input. Pick a thread and get stuck in. Post a thread of your own. Feedback and critique are always welcome.

Poetry is located a little over halfway down on the story index page.

Scroll past extreme and special sections and you'll get poetry. We have three categories, New, Erotic, and Non-Erotic.

We've got lots of poetry there to offer. New people offering discussion, critique, and commentary are always welcome!

I hear you, totally. I brought this up when I first arrived here.

On Lit's Home Page, there is not one mention of the words "poems" or "poetry". One must select "Stories and Pics" in order to get to the poetry section. Now does that make sense? No, I say!

Then you have to scroll down the STORIES section, as KM stated. It truly is a convoluted path. I think anyone deserves some brownie points if they finally find it. It truly is a shot in the dark. No wonder you came here to ask!

We finally got our Poetry Forum, now we need mention in the index. I wonder how many strangers have come here looking for poetry, couldn't find it in the index and left.
