I’m so old I remember…

Man, I remember the day after was pretty damn realistic for the mid 80s.

And now wargames doesn’t sound too unrealistic.

The night The Day After premiered someone crashed a car into a pole carrying the only cable TV and telephone feed to our little mountain valley town. It happened during the opening scene.

It was like the original radio broadcast of The War of the World, there were people panicking about a Russian attack.

The movie was hugely hyped and anticipated, the town was pissed! The community tried to arrange for a special showing but the networks said we had to wait for reruns. 😁

I’m a little too old to remember home milk delivery, but I remember some people in our town still got milk delivered in the mid to late 70s. Now milk delivery is back.

I remember local soda too in the same timeframe before the big conglomerates took over.

Old school beer. Ballantine and Pabst.

My dad has an unopened can of billy beer..which I do not remember..lol
