I’m so old I remember…

I can remember Wensleydale Cheese before Wallace and Gromit got hold of it
Me to.
Interesting fact. Wallace and Gromit franchise helped save Wensleydale cheese by boosting sales and national awareness at a critical time. After being featured in shorts like "A Close Shave" where Wallace states it is his favorite cheese, sales rose significantly, pulling the Wensleydale Creamery back from the brink of closure. This led to a long-term partnership, with special packaging and merchandise, that continues to help the brand today.

it should be a protected brand really

Saturday mornings… tv cartoons out the wazoo.

Bugs bunny roadrunner show
Laff-a-lympics (I always rooted for the Really Rottens… even then.)
Scooby Doo
Hong Kong Phooey
Super Friends

And of course the school house rocks

We saw Bob Dorough, who wrote many of the original ones as a smalljazz bar in Stroudsburg, PA… He played three is the magic number, conjunction junction and one more.

Im old enough to remember the last time this party fucked up the country.

I remember the time before that. Foot & Callaghan disease swept the country.

they've all dumped us in the shit, the only thing that varies is the depth

I was on the doorsteps in '97 and all I heard was "time for a change".

"Well what about this policy?" - "Ooh, no, I don't like that."

"Or that policy?" - "That's a bad idea."

"And the other manifesto commitment?" - "Well that's just stupid, that'll make us all poorer." Which it did, FTSE peaked at 6,999 on 31 Dec 1999; crashed; then took 14 years to climb back above 7,000.

"So why are you going to vote for them?"

1997 - "Well it's time for a change."

2024 - "The other lot have been in too long now."

It will be interesting to see if they hold Wales in 2026.
