My first day of school i was sent home with a letter, I said they should have given me the cane, but thought it might scare me about school.

Occasionally you can still find coke in bottles.

The returning system still exists of courses, though glass bottles give less than plastic or aluminium cans, for some reason. But the crates for glass bottles disappeared some 20-25 years ago. They had their own deposit and it was handy to take a full crate of bottles back.
