Although it might go right over me, I live on top of a ridge in the foothills of the Blue Ridge, so the main danger is wind pulling down trees with the ground already soaked before the storm arrives. Have called to offer shelter to relatives living on the coast, though.

After getting slammed two years in a row, I’m hoping for a miss. We’re staying put, I have a lot of wine and a sturdy house.

Gonna be a crazy week. Schools are closed here already because of the evacuations. Everyone is raiding stores and gas stations. Fun times! If there was a threat of snow now, things could reach biblical proportions.
