why do leftists and city folks want to look down on hunters? Is it because they fear having to fend for themselves? Liberal carnivores fear having to kill their dinner. They go to the super marker, as do hunters. But when a hunter gets his deer, or other animal, he/she knows where the meat really comes from.

They eat kale and tofu and take great pride that no animals were harmed in the consumption of this Thanksgiving feast.

You're an idiot.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

No surprise forest dump is right there with you.

I have no problem with people killing animals for food. I do object to it as a sport.

Call me silly but I believe untimely death should be for a worthy purpose.

As a liberal, a carnivore, and a hunter your assumptions just make me shake my head.
If only everyone fit into the little boxes you make for them huh?

Hello!

A very happy thanksgiving to you and yours!

Thank you! We have a house full (about 25 people for Thanksgiving dinner), about 6" of snow on the ground, and a 27lb turkey barded with bacon in the oven.

Disclaimer: I didn't shoot my own turkey, it would have startled a lot of people at the local farmer's market. ;)

Wild fowl has a gamey, skanky flavor I can't get over. Give me my poultry farm raised, injected with hormones and vaccines, they are delicious!

I heard. Surprised to see you here. Best wishes for today.

What about culling?

It has been so successful here that it is hard to drive into town at night because the fawkin' antler rats are everywhere and they have lost all fear of human contact.

There are only so many hydrangeas and peony baskets on porches to eat...

Most of the work is done. The driveway is shoveled and salted, the turkey in the oven, and the relatives that stayed over last night are sleeping off a mead induced hangover. ;)

Sounds good... so far.

We've had this discussion before. I raised objection to killing as a sport. Interpret that as you will.

With any luck, maystupido will shoot his foot off.

We have Big Horn Sheep that will stand in the middle of the road and challenge cars.

I blame the hood ornaments on Dodge Trucks.

You think Bambi has the slightest idea once the bullet hits the bone whether it was for food, frolic or herd health?

:(

Have you even tasted venison? I won't eat it. I save it for the dogs...

They reintroduced wapiti here.

;)

I guess the deer weren't sporting enough for a Mac truck..., they needed something with a little more stopping power.

pretty much this.
i am absolutely against killing them for 'fun', pelts alone, or to boast about what a great hunter one is because you've taken out an unarmed creature with a high-powered rifle with a scope on it.
