As to how Hugger and I are doing, well, we're doing incredibly well, thank you. The reason we've not been posting much recently is that we learned that we are pregnant!! This is a first child for us both, which is very, very much wanted and which was truly conceived in love. I've posted the same pic and comments on the nipple adornment thread, but wanted to update the followers of this thread, as well. The attached pic tells the (beginning of the) story - a line in each box means "positive". The lines came up so fast that we thought we had somehow broken the test. Re-read the instructions and then repeated the test, positive again. Now, we've got two ultrasound pics of our baby....

Needless to say, Hugger's got the camera going. This will likely be a very well documented pregnancy. We're discussing doing a pregnancy thread to track my progress/changes all the way through to the birth, some 6.5 mos from now.


In the meantime, I want to thank those who took the time to visit and comment. It means a lot to me to come back to the thread and find such wonderful energies. You're all so sweet and generous; telling you about our pregnancy feels like sharing the news with friends. Thank you all for your warmth.

And, for those not familiar with how the "EPT" (early pregnancy test) is done, here's the procedure. As mentioned, it came up positive so quickly that we thought we broke something, so we did it again. On the second time, I was so excited I pee-ed all over my hand...

It was positive the second time, and then at the doctor's office the next day. We've also got an 8-week and a 10-week ultrasound pic (which I may post when Hugger scans them), so it's really a happening thing.

I will, btw, finish the shaving sequence and then plan to move on to another theme, assuming I'm not too knocked out from all that's going on inside of me.

Sandy, we're getting it about the "glow" thing. We think we see it in this pic, for instance. Though I don't glow so much in the bathroom, from time to time... So, here's a first opportunity to check for body changes. Here's what we notice: I've definitely got a bit of a pooch going. My breasts are getting heavier and even rounder, nipples larger, darker and tending to be hard more. As for the next changes, news at 11... And, btw, am in complete agreement re the twins thing. But, if it happens, each one will get as much love as either would have by itself - we'll just make twice as much. That's how it is, isn't it, Sandy?

freebird, well, here's the beginning of watching me change. We took this on Sunday, which means that I was 10 weeks and 1 day pregnant. As mentioned above, there are distinct changes that we see. It's already been said in this thread but I know you two will make awesome parents and your baby is very lucky...I just hope he/she realizes it when they're 16 and think all parents are on glue....(I tell that to my boys on an almost daily basis)

Oh, and when they're old enough to understand, remind them that you changed their daipers when they were little so that means they'll be changing yours when you get old.....;)

Secondly, congratulations! I don't think I've ever seen anyone share the news of her pregnancy in quite this way. Brought a HUGE smile to my face. What a wonderful part of life you're about to experience. Enjoy it. (Your hubby may notice that you start to not only look a bit different, but that you'll start to smell a bit different, and they're both WONDERFUL things.
